help! i need a topic.....

please help me out here. i need a topic asap for my persuasion paper/speech. i cant think of anything. everyone is doing things like school uniforms and nutrition in school cafeterias, ya know, the 'popular safe topics'. i need something...any ideas?

Yes that is a very interesting topic. I would highly suggest that. There are tons of very interesting books on the subject at your local library, and of course the almighty internet. Do this...

Yes they honestly do. When a speaker doesn't care what she's talking about, everyone gets bored. But when you put your personality through people seem to listen more and care about what yuo're talking about.

In the past I've done mine on homosexual rights, abortion, Myspace, uniforms, breaks from school (when, how long, etc.), pep rallies, animal rights (this was one that I had chosen for me...it was a lot harder cuz I didn't, and still don't, have strong feelings for it), road alterings possibly happening in our area, etc. I have a passion for persuasion papers and speeches. My advice is to definitely go for something that you feel very strongly about and run with it. Few things are more annoying than reading or listening to a "debate" type paper or speech when the writer or speaker doesn't give two hoots over what the topic is.
