I KEPT ASKING A FRIEND TO GO AND AFTER SAYING THEY DIDNT WANT TO I MADE THE RESSIE'S, NOW THEY ARE GOING! IM VERY GLAD THEY ARE NOW GOING WITH US BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE RESERVATION'S, THE RESSIES I MADE ARE FOR 3 BUT NOW 4 WILL BE GOING! SHOULD I CANCEL THE RESSIES AND MAKE NEW 1'S OR JUST HOPE THEY WILL SEAT 4 ON A 3 PERSON RESSIE? I HAVE NO CLUE:confused:! PLEASE HELP WITH ANY INFO! THANK YOU

It is always best to change your reservations to include everyone who plans on eating. Having said that, going from 3 to 4 people shouldn't be a problem, as you will be seated at the same size table either way. But it is still a good idea to change your ADRs to reflect the correct number of people dining.

I would recommend you go do Disney dining webpage to check for dining availability first ASAP. If your restaurant choices are available then I would rebook them first, then call Disney to cancel all your old ones out.

With a small jump either way (1 or 2 people, and especially going up to even or down to odd, e..g 3 to 4 or 4 to 3) the best recommendations seem to be to:
  • Attempt to remake as many reservations for the new party size as possible while keeping close to the original times
  • If unable to remake certain ones, show up a bit early to the podium and let them know the new party size
  • Be prepared with a backup plan should they not be able to seat the extra person/people
That said, as mentioned going from 3 to 4 utilizes the same table size and really should not be much of an issue.

I had the same question as I thought I might have an additional person in my group. When I asked the CM if it would be a problem to add someone to my ADR's, she said that going from 3 to 4 should not be a problem since it would be the same size table. I think that I would call and find a CM to help you switch that around. Be careful canceling your ADR's as you may not be able to get them back.

I agree with PPs HOWEVER, know that they do NOT have to let you add another person.

Restaurants also have to deal and obey firecodes, so if you have ressies at a really popular place and it is booked, they may refuse you do to the firecode restriction.
Just know that it is a 50/50 risk.

I have seen people refused at places like, Ohana and LeCellier.

It is best to have a back up plan for that person so they can enjoy a meal as well.
