I just bought a JVC GR-D90 digital video camera and I'm so confused. It says that you can record on a memory card or tape. I tried to record on the memory card but it won't let me. The only thing it will let me do is take still pics.

It didn't come with any tapes and I'm so clueless I didn't even think it would need tapes-lol. I can't find out what tapes it needs all I know is that they're really small-lol.

I also have a Mac with the DVD burner and imovie. I know I can transfer my movies onto my puter but does that work when you record on the tapes or just on the memory card? UGH- I'm so confused I'm about to just return this thing.

If anyone can help me, please do. I leave tomorrow night and I want to use it there. Please don't laugh at me, I'm new to all of this stuff. :)

The memory card is for taking still pictures. You need to get tapes for the movies. Your owners manual should tell you what size tapes you need to get and how to put them in.

Don't forget to take the manual with you.
