I was just tie dying and was so busy helping DD that I forgot to put on the gloves. :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

How can I get this dye off my hands? I don't want to be permanently purple!:headache:

I had the same problem as you, but it was because my gloves were basically useless. I didn't have much luck in getting the dye off. It wore off after about 2 days, but stayed on my cuticles for at least a week. Granted, I didn't really try too hard so maybe someone will have a suggestion for you, but I feel better knowing I wasn't the only one who had purple fingers after the project! I'm a teacher and the day after I did it, I had to explain to my students all day long why my hands were purple. I was so tired of answering the same question over and over again!

Good luck!

I did a google search on someone had suggested Mr. Clean Sponges. Wow, it worked! It got most of the deep purple off. I still have a little color on my hands, but nothing as bad as before.

I am going to paint my nails dark red so the purple cuticles aren't as noticeable.

I will definitely keep that in mind! I wanna make more shirts this summer, and i'm sure I will need it.
