Help... I have an Evening EMH hours question

I will be in Orlando on July 18th very late, and the operating hours things I've looked at show that MK has evening hours - are they listed on the hours already? It says MK is open until 11 pm. Or is it really open until 2 am with the extra hours? I'm confused about how the system works, as well. Will be be able to drive into the Ticket and Transportation center at midnight to go to the last 2 hours of the EMH at MK if is open until 2 am or do you have to be using the transportation system from the resorts?

EMH are for resort guests only. If you are staying on property, the parks will be open to you until 2am. They publish 11pm, because that is the park closing time for day guests. Not sure about the transportation question, but I would think that some resort guests drive to the parks for EMH.

You also have to be in the park before it closes to get a wristband. They usually start distributing them about 2 hours before the park closes. I could be wrong but I don't think they allow you to come in at midnight.

In June, I saw people entering the park after midnight, with strollers nonetheless. However, I did not notice if they had their wristbands in advance or not.

Just there last week for EMH Night at MK, they began issuing wrist bands 2 hours prior to public closing, you need to show your resort ID card to recieve one. We returned at 9:30 and got the bands in front of the tunnels prior to going into mainstreet. I am not sure about after the public closing, with regards to transportation, it runs until 2:45am which is usually the last bus for all resorts. Why drive if you don't have to.

You do not have to be in the EMH park before official closing time to get the wristband. As long as you are a Disney resort guest you can enter anytime after official closing and get your wristband. You are then free to participate in the remaining time for EMH. The only risk you run is if they run out. I heard a CM last month at the Studios telling someone they sometimes run out of wristbands.
As for transportation I would suggest you take the Disney bus from your resort to the MK. Much easier than driving to the TTC and then using the boat or monorail. Disney will not leave you stranded in the park. They make sure the parks are cleared of all visitors before closing down the bus service.
