I just noticed one night we plan on being in MK is a MNSSHP night. I have tried to figure this out but I just don't get it. What if you are at MK but you don't purchase the MNSSHP ticket. Is there a part of the park blocked off? We may go but I am just trying to figure it out. I wish the disney site would explain things a little clearer. :confused3

TIA

On MNNSHP nights the Magic Kingdom will close at 6pm. Anyone holding a party ticket will need to exchange it for a wrist band. All others must exit the park at that time. Only those with party tickets will be allowed to enter the park after 7pm.

The party is a lot of fun. There are several special events only available during the party.

There is a MNNSNP thread on this board with a lot more information including links to party brochures from last year.

The park closes at 6 pm that night...if you have a MNSSHP ticket you can get a wristband and stay throughout the 6-7 hour, if you don't you'll have to leave the park. MNNSHP is worth the extra cost IMOP......but you'd have to make that choice yourself...do you have the extra $ to spend on tickets? do you want to stay until 12 am?

Thanks that makes more sense. I was really confused because it said they close at 8 on their calender and the disney site. :rolleyes2 I will have to see if everyone wants to go. It sounds like fun though and Dh has always wanted to go. :cool1:

It is fun - DD12 and I went last year during her Fall Break. We enjoyed the trick or treating and the parade the most!!

The plus to to this hard ticket event is that it is less crowded. Line for rides are very little wait times, special parade and fireworks- Tinkerbelle is replaced by a witch during wishses. Specail characters meet and greets, trick or treat specials ( in 04 it was the characters from Alice in Wonderland) We did this our trip in 04 and just bought TIX to go back this year. It seems that children young and old dress in costumes.

I noticed that on September 15, and 22 they still have the old hours on the official Disney site too (before they added these two nights to the MNSSHP), including times for Spectro and Wishes. But when we decided to buy tickets for the 15th I specifically asked the CM about it and she did confirm that the park will be closed at 6 those nights, she is not sure why it has still not been updated on the official site, even though the site does say MNSSHP on those nights.

We'll be there on the 15th, as well. :wave2:

I can't wait!!! :cool1: :cool1:

Thanks for clearing it up! You all are so great, I don't know what I would do without DIS. :thumbsup2 We will probably go. I am not sure if our friends will want to spend the money but we don't care. I am telling them it is a "once in a lifetime thing" ;) The only drawback I see is we will both have 12 month old babies at the time and it sounds kind of wild around the parade/ trick-or-treat areas. But it sure sounds fun.

We are booking today as well for the week of Sept. 11-17, and will be at the party on the 15th. If I am not going to MK that day... we only need the Halloween party ticket for the party right???

Right. Attending MNSSHP (or any hard-ticketed event) is completely independent of any other park admission. You'd be using up ONLY your MNSSHP tickets that day.

one more question, if we are at MK that day and get our wristband and stay from the 6-7 changeover is there anything to do then? Are the rides shut down? If not that might be interesting.

You'll need a park pass to get in during the day and then MNSSHP ticket to get in in the evening.

One land will remain open. The rides will be going.

I noticed that a few of us are going on 9/15. I started a MNSSHP roll call for 9/15 on the Happy Dance board (on the same screen as this board--just scroll up the main page). Please check in if you're going on the 15th!
