We are seriously wanting to return to to WDW and would love to know the best time to go. We went a couple of years ago in Feb., before President's day. Valentine's Day was our last day. The weather was nice (it rained on Valentine's Day) and the temp.'s were average. We have two DD's in school and one DS that's 4 yrs. old. I know that we won't be able in stay in the value resorts this time and we would have to be bumped up to a moderate. That means POR with a trundle. Last year we called to get prices for a trip and they offered us the YC extremely cheap!!! Unfortunately, we were not able to keep our trip. The price apparently just popped up! Does anyone know if that can happen again or was that a one-time and never again deal????

Since we have two school aged children, what is everyone's opinion for June, July, or August. I thought about the end of May/beginning of June but there is a big group attending during that time.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Father of family of 5 here. We went over Thanksgiving week. My kids were out of school, so they did not miss any schoolwork, and the weather was great. Not one drop of rain while were were at a park, only overnight. Warm enough to swim too. The crowds grew as the week went on, with Thanksgiving Day very busy at the MK. Plus, the parks were decorated for Christmas,

All in all, we had a great trip!

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, we won't be able to go during the Thanksgiving holidays. That's my husbands favorite holiday and he loves to cook the turkey and watch football. Any other months????

Another family of 5 here, with two in school and one who's 4! We are going next year at the beginning of November. I will NOT go during a school vacation week, and I have no qualms about pulling them out for a week (school is good about it, too). Summer months are HOT (and did I mention hot?!) and also pretty crowded. You're looking at all that walking and waiting in lines in torrid Florida heat. That saps anyone's energy. I wouldn't do it with the kids, at least. If you don't mind missing school, September, October and November (pre-Thanksgiving) are great months to go! If you just can't miss school, the end of August - right before Labor Day - is a good bet.

Thanks! We are leaving our options open right now and going through so many debates! The pros and cons are endless for several of the months. I am still thinking June or sometime in the summer so that we can do other things like seeing other parks (sorry if that offends anyone!), sites, and visit relatives.

I would love any more advice and info!

Thanks again!!!!

We were there one year at the end of June, and I will never, ever, EVER go to Disney World again in the summer. It is crowded, it is humid and it is hot. My DD just melts in the heat, and all DS would want to do is be in the pool. He can do that around here.

We were there this year at the beginning of December. The weather was nice, though cool, and the crowds weren't bad. If I had to pick any school vacation week it would be April. Beautiful weather...warm enough to swim but not so hot that you're constantly sweating...and not every state has the same week off. We were there last year in April and the crowds were only bad one day out of our five and it was on the weekend.

We are a family of 6 and (2 in grade school - 3 now :) ).

We went this past summer in July - mostly because we went with the Contemporary and it was value season then for it. It was fine. It was hot but overall it wasn't horrible. I'm one of the ones though that won't pull her kids out of school. I think probably end of June would be my preference if it weren't for the fact that the price difference between the regular vs. value season made an impact for me.

We're a family of five and we go every July. Yes it's hot, but if you get to the parks when they open and leave for an afternoon swim/nap break, return to the parks at night you'll be fine. Just drink lots of water and carry a water/fan spray bottle. It's a life saver.

We usually go in June, although we've made at least three trips the week of July 4th!!! Yes, it is hot and crowded, but just as the previous posters have said - Get there early, go back for a nap/swim break, then go back to the parks and stay as late as you like!!! Also, be sure to make your ADRs for a summer trip! (During the summer, many restaurants are booked and will turn people away with no ADR)

We try to do an 8-10 day summer trip (and a smaller trip in early Dec)! We get so much done each day using fast pass!!! In June 2005, we also visited Sea World, which my DD loved!!! We will go back to Sea World this June too! Also, the water parks are great - be sure to try CrushNGusher!!!!

Have a great trip!!!! :Pinkbounc
