I get to make our ADR's on Monday. :cool1: I think I know where I want us to go. But I just keep scanning menus and doubting our choices. I feel like I am going crazy trying to decide. Here are the places I am thinking of any input would be great!

Breakfast
'Ohana
Chef Mickey or 1900 Park Fare

Dinner
Momma Melrose Fantasmic Pkg

LeCellier or Teppan Edo if I can't get LeCellier

Crystal Palace

Whispering Canyon

Cape May

Thanks for all of the input.

Whispering Canyon is terrible, all around. Stay away!

Mama Melrose was good back in 2007 but I've seen it get some bad reviews. I would try it out if I were you, though!

I've seen most of those places get bad reviews in one form or another--and I've also seen the opposite. The point is don't go by what other people say.

Look at the menus again and go with the places you think you'll like something at. If you're feeling iffy about a menu or are picking a place based on something other than food you might try, I'd say scratch it from the list.

We're big fans of Chef Mickey's and Le Cellier. If you can get into 'Ohana, do that too. Haven't tried the others though. We'll be doing Crystal Palace for dinner this trip though... hoping for good things!

We have never done breakfast at Ohana or CM. We like MM, if you want to do Fantasmic I suggest you do get the package. With them having only two shows a week it gets packed. We love Le Cellier, only eat at Teppan Edo once. CP is ok IMO. We have been so many times to WC that we are getting tired of it. Never have done Cape May. I would suggest that you have three choice of places that you would want to eat at for each day. It has been really hard to get ressies even at the 90 day window with free dining going on. Good Luck and I hope you get what you want.

I've done Ohana and Crystal Palace for breakfast. Both are great but Ohana is my favorite! I've eaten at Mama Melrose's for lunch and the food was great! Our server was nice and very attentive.

I have to agree with landshark; dinning is such a personal preference type of thing: what I may think is great you might hate.

That being said, we had breakfast @ Chef Mickey, for me it was just ok nothing over the top great and not horrible, just plain old breakfast. I was a little unhappy with the character interaction though. But I have to say I think we just had a bad experience from all I've heard it's usually great.

I've also had lunch not dinner @ Crystal Palace; I really enjoyed it thought it was a really good meal characters were fun.

As for the rest I haven't been.
Good luck planning, hope I was some help:goodvibes

I am having the same problems. :goodvibes

Teppan Edo was my kids favorite. If you can't get Le Cellier I would go for that. We did have a bit of a wait but it was worth it. It was a lot of fun watching them cook and the food was great.

I didn't do breakfast at 1900 but I did dinner. It was good. I hear their breakfast is good. Unless your kids are big Mickey fans I would do 1900. The characters are supposed to be very entertaining.

We're fans of Crystal Palace (for dinner, never have done breakfast), and even though it's just the two of us - totally enjoy watching all the kids. IMHO we think the food is some of the best for a buffet.

We had been away from WC for a few years, went on our trip last year and had a very good meal. If you want some quite - asked to be seated in the back overlooking the lodge.

Have a great trip!

We have had character breakfasts at both Chef Mickey's and Ohanas. We are going back to Chef Mickey's! The food option range was larger versus just basics at Ohana's. Both character experiences were good for us now that we know not to leave our seats until we have seen all of the characters (you may need to let your server know - they want a new tipping customer - can't blame them).

As for dinner, we are looking forward to trying the dining plan for free and try some new places. We usually don't go to a lot of the sit down places. However, we have gone to Teppen Edo and the kids can't wait to go back! They were turning their noses up at the menu and now it is #1 on their list.

La Cellier
CRT
Jiko's
Coral Reef
Chef Mickey's
Teppen Edo's

for November 2009!

Breakfast
'Ohana never had breakfast ..love dinner here though;)
Chef Mickey or 1900 Park Fare breakfast at CM was ok..food was fine..loud..characters rushed. Never had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare

Dinner
Momma Melrose Fantasmic Pkg We don't love it here but we are also going to try and book this for the Fantasmic package in Dec..for us it is the best choice of the 3 options

LeCellier or Teppan Edo if I can't get LeCellier love LeCellier but our kids LOVED Teppan Edo more

Crystal Palace we have done dinner, it was good..not great..but good

Whispering Canyon wouldn't do it...we ate there once and it was average at best, it has received scary reviews lately.

Cape May never been

Thanks for all of the input.

If you are going to AK then I would seriously consider trying to fit Tusker House character breakfast in instead. The food was fabulous and the characters are great.
The changes that I would make..change Ohana from breakfast to dinner, skip WC, and do the Tusker House breakfast. HTH!:)

I don't have any sugestions because I'm right there with you, just wanted to wish you good luck and say I'm SO glad to hear that I'm not the only one who is stressing over ADRs!

Breakfast
'Ohana--we're trying this for breakfast for the first time in November. It sounds fun!
Chef Mickey--we liked it, but we didn't love it. It had more to do with a less -than-stellar server than anything else. Character interaction was terrific and the pictures are priceless!
1900 Park Fare--haven't tried this

Dinner
Momma Melrose Fantasmic Pkg----one of my favorite meals in WDW! We went expecting the worst after all the crummy reviews I had read, and it was just fantastic.

LeCellier-this is on our Nov list, but I don't have high expectations
or Teppan Edo-this is our T'giving dinner
if I can't get LeCellier

Crystal Palace--good food, good character interaction, can't beat the location. It was a bit crowded and had very high energy, but it was definitely a thumbs-up.

Whispering Canyon--we have too many introverts in our group for us to enjoy this place. I think a few of us would absolutely crawl under the table if the servers threw straws at us! :flower3:

Cape May---haven't done dinner, but breakfast is awesome! My favorite character breakfast, hands down!

I hope this helps. I know how it is when you are trying to make others happy and you want them to have the best experience possible. Good luck!

Chef Mickeys and 1900 Park Fare I think are best out of the group of 3.
Mama Melrose is great!

I was trying to decide between Chef Mickey and Kona for breakfast and chose Kona. Chef Mickey has been getting some awful reviews lately. :( I hope to try it someday but this trip we're on QS so I didn't want to spend money oop not knowing if the service and cleanliness was going to be back up to par. Love Crystal Palace though, and two thumbs up on 1900 Park Fare!

We loved Chef Mickey's when we went in June! We had a wonderful server, great interaction with the characters (who I feel represent the whole Disney experience)! Each one came to our table and took pictures and signed all 3 of our kids autograph books! We liked the food very much, but that is always a personal preference for everyone anyway! I vote CHEF MICKEY'S!!!:lovestruc
