Help...I can't decide where to stay....

Hello,

I am desperately trying to decide where to stay on site. Right now we are looking at BC, YC and OKW.

My biggest decision is wether or not to get a 2 br villa or a suite at one of the deluxe resorts. The prices however are quite surprising.

Any advice on which is better?

Here's what we are looking for.

We are a family of 4, 2 kids aged 10 & 6.

We want convenience, extra space to chill out after a long day in the parks, not tons of hustle and bustle but enough to do back at the resort, possibly concierge. Oh, and a bag of hundreds under the door. Ha Ha.

I would consider a deluxe then, just for space. I would recommend either a one BR villa at OKW or the Poly. If you have your heart set at staying around EPCOT, then maybe the YC/BC, I hear their pool is great!! Have fun deciding. I think a 2BR villa would be overkill. Your kids could share a bed for one week. Many of the rooms at the Poly have daybeds, I have heard.

The 2BR units at OKW are ENORMOUS and should give you the space you crave. It is a lovely atmosphere and pretty reasonably priced considering the space you are getting. Plus you get a full kitchen and in unit laundry included (so you can pack less). And also note that OKW now has a gorgeous sandcastle themed pool slide in the main pool. You might be able to do better than the CRO price by renting DVC points for an OKW stay on the DVC rent/trade board.

YC/BC have an amazing pool, which should appeal to your 10 and 6 yr olds. Remember there are also the Beach Club Villas, tho these don't come up for CRO use very often. The added advantage to YC/BC is the mere 5 minute walk to Epcot and 15 minute boat ride/ walk to MGM. Also there is the Boardwalk right accross the way. YC or BC concierge will be pricy tho.

So IMO, price and space will send you to OKW. Location and perhaps the pool will send you to YC/BC.

If you want to spread out, I would suggest OKW.

OKW does not have concierge. So if you really want that then don't go there. However, the OKW 2 bedroom is HUGE so you would have room to spread out. I agree with the renting points suggstion, much cheaper normally then going thru Disney.

No idea if the suites at the others do have conceierge.

I would suggest AKL deluxe Concierge!! Awesome resort, In my opinion has the best Conc. lounge, can do either of the safari's.... Or, Epcot resort... We like YC or BC and the pool there is great!! We have stayed OKW 3 times, and I know there are many fans out there, but we will not stay here again. The roar of the Disney buses woke us up every morning and I am not a light sleeper.. More disney magic at the other resorts...
