Help! HRH club or not vs PB?

Hi, I really can not decide what to do at this point. We have stayed at PB before, loved it - but we are on a very tight schedule this time. We are a family of 4 ( 2 college age). I originally booked the HRH club floor for one night as (for some reason) that was all that was open. Now I see I can book regular rooms. So, I have both booked! I thought HRH would be best based on how close it is to the parks. We will check in the earliest we can on day 1(is it 8:00am?) and then hit the parks. Stay overnight and go to parks again on day 2. So really we won't be at the hotel that much. I thought HRH's water slide looked great from pictures and youtube videos and that we all might have fun at this hotel.
But, now I read that the walls are thin and that people seem to prefer the ambiance of PB.
I guess I have really 2 questions...1)If we stick with HRH - is club floor worth it or should we just keep the cheaper rooms? 2) Would the recommendation instead be that we stay at PB?

Thank you in advance!

I only stayed at HRH and had no problems with noise from other rooms. I had a garden view and was at the end of a hallway on the first floor. I have a feeling that for 4 people the club room might be cost effective, but you'd have to crunch the numbers. As for HRH vs other hotels, I travel with a teenage drummer who's into metal, so HRH is the best fit for us and the only place I'll stay at universal. And their cabo-wabo-ritas are amazing.

Thanks Nekochan - I have booked 2 rooms for us though - so I think that might change how cost-effective the club floor would be... My son is a former teenage drummer (he doesn't play anymore) but it sounds like he would like this hotel.

I'd stick with the HRH. It sounds like it would be fun for your family and it is sooooooooo close to the parks.

Thanks again damo. I was resigned to staying in the club rooms when that was all that was available. Even with the AAA discount - they are still really expensive. But I also expect this could be our last trip together as a family - due to my kids now being in college, so I thought the splurge would be ok. Then when I checked later and found regular rooms available and saw how much cheaper they were - well I think we could have a lot of fun with that extra money saved!

My kids just recently finished college/university. Let me tell you...when Mom and Dad are paying, family vacations last forever. ;)

Great! Makes sense to me - but just recently had to strong-arm my son into joining us for spring break. He had no plans other than sitting at home in Chicago. He finally relented (I rented a 2 bedroom unit on Ft. Myers Beach so he could have his own room) and enjoyed a relaxing sunny week which included a parasail and waverunner excursion. I hope that changed his mind about joining us for trips in the future! :-)

Closing thread with update on our experience. HRH was just right for our family. My kids loved it and it was DEFINITELY the right choice. Thank you again everyone for your help.
