Help! How to open templates - SBC+

I have SBC+. I have downloaded some DISer created templates - (Christy's) with no problems at all. I've gone to other websites to download templates, but I cannot open them in SBC+. What am I doing wrong?

Hi there -- you can't use any templates that are in .psd format because those are only for photoshop users. (bummer -- I know.) You can use them if they include individual .png files....

ScrapMatters (unlike many digi sites) ALWAYS included .pngs for their template challenges. Here's the current one if you want to DL the template and try it out.

That's one of the ones I tried to import the other day. I just tried again...SBC+ says "Pages of a size different than the current project." I'm working on a 12x12 album. Would that be the issue? When I opened up the folder in windows explorer, it doesn't have a .png file that looks like one of your templates, Christy. The only .pngs are each separate element of the layout. Looks like the LO itself is a .psd. ???

Yeah -- that's the thing. The .pngs are separate elements and you have to add them to your page one by one to "create" the template. Once you have them added, you can keep the template in a separate StoryBook and bring it in when you want to use it so you don't copy over it... but they are a little bit of work to make initally. I have to really like a template to bother with the .pngs.... because I can often just scraplift the LO and make it myself without the hassle of the .pngs. But, I do use some of them.... and I save them in their own Storybook so I don't save over them.... I wish Creative Memories would just make some fun templates for us to buy... most of their premade pages are kind of boring in my opinion.

I agree - CMs do seem boring after using the templates you've allowed me to scraplift. It's funny - I always thought the Shutterfly templates looked a bit boring - but now...there's no way I'd be happy with an album made solely with their templates!
