Help! How to gift for Christmas a surprise trip?

We are taking the kids to Vero Beach for New Years, but we want to gift it in an unique way. I thought of all you Dissers and your creativity and so I ask the question!! We just came back from WDW in Sept, but instead of alot of toys and Christmas clothes, wanted to go somewhere warm instead!!

How about a message in a bottle??? Create an invitation from Mickey or just an announcement of your trip, print it out on parchment type paper, roll it like a scroll and tie with a ribbon and then tuck it in a bottle. Then pop the whole thing in a box of sand and wrap it up!!! If you are feeling particularly generous, tuck some flip flops and sunglasses in the sand too!!

When my dear in-laws gifted us all with a Disney trip, each family got one of the planning DVDs wrapped up, along with a few travel size items (travel toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.) We had been gifted before with a cruise, so when we saw the DVD, we KNEW!

last christmas we gifted the trip to young adualt kids in th eway of a computer made card with mickey on the front that said 6 days, 5 nights, 4 parks 1 world one family, inside I cut a spot and placed their tickets in it and used a small decal of SSR, in the next envelope I had cut out airplane and placed their tickets inside that, and for their DDP I made another card listing the places I felt we would enjoy eating at and typed our year of Million dreams and smart *** as I amm I used $$$$ behind it. the kids loved opening each envelope to see what we were going to cover for expenses for them. I had also when we were down last summer picked up key rings like a key shape from SSR and placed that in a box and told them it was there key to the world. they all still talk about how can you top that one mom. now my kids are in early 20's but are so looking forward to early Dec at Disney as a family.

My friend suggested to me to have a treasure hunt through the house and have them unwrap small clues to get to the final big one!
Wow now we need to decide!! THis is so much fun!
