Help- How to cancel American Grant on QR

I signed up for the QR offer: American Grant 1.99 s/h with $8 payout early yesterday. I was credited immediately but haven't received any emails.

I called the customer service number listed on the offer (Cancel any time M-S by calling: 1-866-407-1028 ) both yesterday and this afternoon. Both times I was told that they have NO record of my account. This 800# also says they are not affiliated with AMERICAN GRANT. They further say that if I signed up for any of their products that the shipping charge is $4.97????

I do notice that once you are in the offer it says charges will appear as "TheGrantMentor.com".

I just checked with my cc company and I was only charged $1.99 to thegrantmentor.com Sandy UT

I also never received a confirmation email. The one thing I did do was when I signed up I copied the confirmation page I saw at the end of the sign up and when I just checked it it has my members name and password. The members name is just my email and the password is my zip code. I would try to log on to the site and see if your email address and zip code grants you access - at least that way when you call you can say I was charged xx amount of money and I can log onto your site.

I'll call on Monday and cancel and I'll let you know how it goes.

I checked my credit card and have not been charged yet. Since this was done on Friday I am guessing it will probably show up on Monday. So now we wait and see.:rolleyes1

I tried to cancel this one. She said I need to check my CC to see if I was charged the $1.99. She wouldn't cancel me! She said to call back AFTER I was charged. URRGGGHHHH..... She also said I had to return the book and the CD. I don't remember reading that we needed to return it. I am kind of mad at this offer....(Even though I should have read closer about returning the book) And why wouldn't she cancel me!!!!

They had not charged my CC yet. I tried to cancel again and she said I was not in the system. She then asked me "How did you get this phone number?" HUH???? She said I needed to wait 48 hours or longer in order to call back.

Has anyone else had any luck cancelling this one? Has it shown up on your CC bill? It would say GrantMentor - according to the lady I spoke with on the phone.

I think I finally got this canceled but am still pretty nervous.:sad2: I had to throw a huge fit and demand a supervisor. They kept trying to tell me I had to keep it till the 30th and something about a $1,000 shopping spree. I said just CANCEL this account immediately. I did get a confirmation code but something seems really fishy. I checked my credit card and I still don't see any charges yet. I will monitor closely though!
 
What number did you call? Did you call1-866-407-1028? She told me she could not even find me in order to cancel! And the 2nd time I called I happened to get the SAME person, so that didn't help much. Did she say that you won't or will get charged the $1.99. And if they mail the stuff, do you need to send it back?

I think I would call back and refer them to the "No commitments, no hassles" part of the terms.
 
All three times I called the 800-407-1028 number. Each time the people I talked to were very hard to understand and had foreign names.

They pulled that same thing with me about "not being able to find my account" and waiting 48 hours.

The person I got today asked for my phone number and then called me by name, so I know they have access to some kind of records.

They didn't say anything about having to ship anything back. They also said nothing more about how much S&H I would be charged.
 
I wonder if I call back and say that they did charge my CC if they would "all of the sudden" know who I am??? And the lady I talked to also had a very hard to understand accent. Maybe I will call back this afternoon.

Ok - I called and tried to cancel and got a foreign person very hard to understand that told me the same thing. I'm not in the system and to call back later. I hung up the phone and called right back. Got someone else and they cancelled for me.

I actually had to be very firm saying No thank you - no thank you - no thank you

I don't like doing offers like this one.

Yes call back and say you were charged $1.99 on the date you signed up and no you don't have to send anything back. I think it's a huge answering service for multiple companies so they are dealing with different terms and conditions and adding to that I think this is one of those phone services that is based in India so english isn't a first language. Just stick to your guns and you'll get cancelled.

I've called twice now & they tell me they can't cancel it because I'm not in the system yet--sound familiar?? Try back in 24-48 hours when the system updates.
 
I called back AGAIN (number 3!). This time I talked to a man, and he let me cancel right away, no hastle. Got my confirmation #. Good Luck!!!!

YAY!!!!!!!:banana: I finally was able to cancel after a KaZillion times!!! LOL:thumbsup2 Im sorry but that was the biggest Pain in the ---!!! lol:laughing:
