I know this is a stupid question, but how much does it cost to mail a letter to Canada?? Is the postage the same as a letter in the US?? I have sent several packages, but never just a letter, so I am not sure how much postage to use. Thanks!!

I sent a Christmas card a couple weeks ago and it was $.60. Should be about the same for a letter. Hope this helps!!

I've always just put a regular stamp on it. I have a couple of friend who live in Canada. I always send Christmas cards, and they've never came back for more postage. Does this mean the people at the other end are getting it with postage due?

Call me embarassed!

My ex-inlaws live in Canada. I have always put a regular US stamp on letters and cards. There is never any postage due when they get it.

my understanding is that just using a regular stamp will still get it there but it will take longer. if you use $.60 it goes airmail.

at least that is how it was explained to me when i mailed a letter to a friend in canada this past weekend.

Hi, it cost me .37 cents to mail a post card when I was in Indy, in August.

Most of my mail goes north to Canada (we're from there........) and believe me not very many people here know the correct answer!

Official costs:

Regular letter's are .60 cents

Post Cards are .50 cents

It would probably go through at .37, but you definately run the risk of the person in Canada getting it "postage due", plus it might take much longer......aka "snail mail!" :D
