Help! How long did your planning session last?

We will be having a Wishes Wedding and I just booked our planning session. It is supposed to be from 1-5 however our flight leaves MCO at 6:30. If we leave the planning session by 4:30 we'll make it to the airport in time (no bags to check and our boarding passes will already be printed) but I want to make sure 3.5 hours is enough time. Our taste testing is in the morning so some things will already be discussed during that time (I think).

Any advice you could give would be appreciated! TIA!

Can they move it to the morning? I feel like that is cutting it a little close. You still need to go through security at the airport even without bags to check. I'm not sure if it was just because of spring break but the airports were packed yesterday.

Our PS was from 9-1:30pm. We had the tasting at 9:30 am and we did discuss some of the wedding things there. We had our floral meeting at 12 pm and were finished around 1:30 pm.

Hope that helps!

We had our tasting in the morning and the PS at Franck's took about 3 full hours from 1-4pm. You may be cutting it close.

Mine was about three hours too. I had also come in with all of my pictures, colors, planning kit filled out, etc. But it just takes a long time to go through the whole ceremony and then the reception.

Call your WP and I'm sure they can move your PS up.

Send images to your planner before you go. We did that and our planning session was only an hour or so. Granted, we kinda knew what we wanted. But, if the planner has an idea of what you're looking for you don't have to go through nearly as much stuff to decide. And if you arrive a little early you can walk through the entry room and pick out table stuff that you like (napkins, chargers, tablecloths, etc). We also took three sets of swatches with us so we could find matches quickly and the design team would all have them for later.

What exactly comes in the planning kit? How big is it?

It's a couple of emails. You will get a list of cake prices, a wedding planning info sheet, a questionaire from your planner with general questions and another from floral. Other than that, you get a cd with the organ samples for the WP and a cd with pics of the cakes disney makes. That's pretty much it.

My PS took 3.5 hours. I think part of that is due to the fact that floral somehow didn't get my questionaire so we had to go through everything step by step again. Are you using the magical express to get to the airport because they pick you up 3 hours early. They won't come any later (i asked during my PS as well). I think you may be cutting it close as well.

Thank you all for your replies! Based on your responses I agree we are cutting it too close. An earlier PS is not available but I was able to switch our flight so we leave an hour later than before. And we'll have a rental car so getting to the airport will not be a problem. Since the only reason we are flying down to Florida is for the planning session it would be silly to miss some of it.
