When do the children eat dinner if the only reservation time we could get for remy is the same time as second seating?

How old are you children? If they are not old enough to eat by themselves. if they are old enough and mature enough they can eat dinner by themselves. You could always order room service for them or feed them at the pool deck at Flo's V8 Cafe and then sign them into the kids club before going to Remy.

I'm figuring that you are asking because you have second seating? You can take them to the "buffet" earlier. Or the poolside quick serves. There's also room service. The kids club does serve dinner, but it is at a set time (indicated in the Navigator, I believe), so maybe not at the "right" time for you.

Once onboard you can see if you can change your reservation time. If you can't, your kids will be fine in the MDR and made to feel very special by your serving team. Your oldest will be able to sign your youngest into the kids club after dinner. Enjoy Remy. It's fantastic.

Pick up something poolside for them and bring it back to the room so they can eat while you get ready for dinner. Then you take them to the club and go to Remy. :)

Thank you all so much!!!!! I think we will have them eat while I get ready. They are DD 13 DS 9 and DD turning 5 on cruise.

At those ages with the 13 year old, if the kids will behave for her, I'd let them go to the DR themselves-like you and your hubs get a special meal alone and the kids get a special meal alone as well. You know your kiddos best, though:thumbsup2

Our family of four sailed with another family of four. Adults had dinner at Palos later in the cruise and checked with head waiter the night before and he said "no problem" he would take care of them. The four kids were aged 10 through 15 and we dropped them off in the MDR and Alvin took over. The kids loved dining without their parents. They loved our head waiter Alvin from the Magic!

We had second seating when we booked, were on the waiting list for main dining, and thankfully were switched over to main dining about 6 weeks out from our cruise. I had prepared for second seating, however. The plan was to feed the kids snacks either in Cabanas or room service, then take them with us to the second seating. You can let your waiter know that you want to participate in the Dine and Play. They will bring your courses as usual, but will expedite the kids' meals, and after about 45 minutes castmembers from the kids' clubs will come to the dining room to escort the Dine and Play children to the kids club. They get to play, you get to enjoy the rest of the dinner. You may not want to do it every night, but it seems like a great option if you are stuck with second seating. Good luck!

AFAIK a 13yr old cannot check in the siblings... An adult has to... Again, AFAIK...

An older sibling can check a younger sibling in and out of the club. Not sure of the age, but my 14 yo is listed as being able to do this on our current ressie.

I would sent them to dinner alone and have them sign into the club after dinner. Let the servers know ahead of time and they will be well cared for. 13 YOs can check siblings in and out if you allow them. all you have to do is check that options when you do the check-in paperwork. My 13 YO son had authorization to check his cousins in and out. If you/they don't feel comfortable dining alone, feed them at the buffet before hand.

If you send them early enough they feed them in the Club but I would recommend just running up to topsiders (or equivalent) or ordering room service and then sending them to the Club. There is never a lack of food.
