Help - how do I transfer points to make a reservation?

***DISCLAIMER*** I have never tranferred points, but I am considering doing it so that members of my family can join ME on a trip in November. It is not my intent to pour salt on a wound here, I really need some help.

I have a waitlist for a couple of nights in a preferred view studio at BW for our stay in Nov. My parents will take the room. They already have a reservation they can cancel. If the waitlist comes through, do I have enough time to transfer points from another owner to make the reservation?

In other words, if I got someone to transfer the points to me today (hypothetically) will they be in my account in time for me to get that room booked tomorrow, before they cancel the waitlist?

I am trying to avoid borrowing from next year.

I think if you do it today - it would be.

but it will take trust on the rentee part - because you can't pay them that quickly.

Actually, I can pay them in 30 seconds if they accept paypal. Otherwise, I wouldn't blame them for not doing the deal without payment.
