I am trying to decide what to do. I currently have reservations at the Swan, lake view room, for next April. I have a AAA rate of 207.50 per night. My DS will be 12, and DD will be 9 at the time of the trip. They would either need to share a bed, or one of them sleep on the floor ( they actually kind of like this ). I have now found out that I can get a standard view room at the AKL for the about the same rate, but this room will have bunk beds so they can each have their own bed. I like the idea of being in the EPCOT area at the Swan, but also like the idea of staying at the AKL and that they can both have their own beds. What would you suggest?

AKL hands down! We did a split stay between AKL & Swan this past May & AKL blew the Swan out of the water.

The CM's were amazing, the rooms lovely, & the food wonderful.

location-wise the Swan would be better. A five minute walk to the back entrance to Epcot, a very brief walk to Boardwalk, a long walk or short boat ride to MGM, a short walk to fantasia gardens miniature golf...something to think about.

ask them...
give them the pluses for both...
personally...I would take any swan room over the standard rooms at the AKL...
explain to them that the Swan has a fantastic teen friendly pool, quiet pool, close to the "teen parks", close to mini golf and the boardwalk...
then move onto the AKL...they can have there own beds...yup...thats really it...
I think its what they really want...if there willing to compromise...and share a bed....than I think overall you'll have a better experience at the Swan instead of AKL...

Have you tried to get a AAA rate at AKL? We loved this resort!!! The transportation was excellent! The pool was great!

The Swan has the heavenly beds.... I don't think anyone should sleep on the floor. They should share or one sleep with each adult.
