staying at all star movies and I can't figure out how to disable the sensor on the thermostat like I have at other resorts. Can someone please help ASAP?
Thank you!
Some folks may not like the noise they make or how it could blow cooler air in one particular place whereas a lower over all temperature would be more comfortable especially when you have little ones staying in the rooms.
I'm really curious, why would you want to disable the thermostat?Truly just curious!
Ah figured it out
- Hold down the “display” button
- While holding that button, press “off”
- Release off, continue to hold down display, and Press the “up” arrow button
- Release all buttons
I'm going to do this exact thing first moment in the room.
Well, just saw that someone reported that in fact the sensor by-pass method above doesn't work at BC. UGH. Has anyone actually successfully used the method above at BC?

Since the renovation they changed the Thermostats. I have not seen a successful procedure for the new ones other than asking the Front Desk to send a maintenance person to stop by and bypass the sensor. That works 100% of the time.![]()
Are you staying at BC, Kook?![]()
Thank you, @dansdad, 100% works for me. I think I will do that before I even get into the room while I'm checking-in downstairs!
Sorry to gohere, my apologies.
Hard to believe, but yes. It's the only Deluxe I've never tried and I thought this would be a good way to mark it off the list since I'm traveling solo (a first). I have a "trip of firsts" next month and I'm doing a 3-way split of Tower Club, BC and RPC, which I've not done before. It's DD's graduation present to myself![]()
Has anyone successfully used this bypass anywhere on property within the past year or so?
We've stayed in a few resorts where they had disabled the bypass, due to guests disabling the sensor. At Wilderness Lodge last year, they offered to give us a balloon. Classy.
I thought the balloon trick didn't work anymore?
But I have to say I don't blame them for having some sort of sensor. There should be a way to keep the air running at night, but it is ridiculous to keep your room on deep freeze when you are in the parks.
