Hi All,
How would i get to UNI/IOA from International Drive without having to walk it-which i know does'nt take too long but would rather not with my 2 girls late at night.I know there is the option of a cab, anyone know how much that is?, but is there a bus that runs down there.I know the I-Ride trolley does'nt,what about the Lynx-i get so confused looking at there webpage,i know it don't take much :rotfl2: .I know our hotel offers a free shuttle, but apparantly it does'nt run late in the evenings.(p.s. we don't drive, hence no car)Cheers guys for the replies:thumbsup2 .x.

If its getting back to i-drive from US/IOA then i've never paid more than $10 with the guys at the bottom of the escalator at US parking lot (thats for 5 in a van), even going down to quality inn plaza at the far end, but get a price first, as some then do it off the meter.

Thanks $10 sounds good, are they a proper company if you know what i mean?Licensed, safe etc..Were staying right at the southern end of I-drive.x.

yes the cabs that u pick up from the bpttom of the escalatoe are all licenced, tere is a unifored man alloocating the taxis, i have always found them cheap, i would have though $10-$20 would be the maximum for anywhere on I drive.

Thanks very much:thumbsup2 ,I can't see it costing too much for us,would rather spend a few dollars knowing it was safer than walking down that road at night with my girls.x.

We caught the Lynx bus no 43 from just outside Wet n Wild on the Universal Blvd rd and that took us straight into Universal, and dropped us off by the elavator. On the return journey it goes around and brings you out by the big McDonalds on Sand Lake Rd I think (nr the Quality Inn Int). We walked most of the time though as I think there was only one bus an hour, and it was only a 10min walk max. The shuttles do tend to do a 9pm pick up from there back to the hotels as well, maybe even later in the summer.

Thanks alot much appreciated :thumbsup2 .At least there is the cheaper option of using the Lynx buses.I was'nt too sure if they went down there or not..x.

If you can get there (walk / bus / hotel shuttle etc) then I would just go for the cab ride back in the evening - as others have said it isn't at all expensive and it takes the hassel out of being in a certain place at a certain time IYKWM.

Hope you have a fab holiday btw - we absolutely LOVE US / IOA :cool1:

Hi,
Thanks,we were thinking this today, about taking the Lynx to get there+then getting the cab back home.Yes,we love UNI/IOA!!!I remember reading your trippie :thumbsup2 .x.

I agree if you can get their either by the i-trolley and walking or the hotels shuttles then do it....but defo take a taxi back....from universal to sand lake road (close to the big macdonalds) cost us about $8 last year...

Personally we'd opt to walk to universal either from our hotel (just off sand lake road) or jump on the i-trolley and walk from wet n wild...but would never walk back in the evenings...the stroll in the morning is lovely to be honest a nice way to start the day....

Our hotel does have a free shuttle to UNI+IOA,but from what i have read on Trip Advisor they are not all that great as in what time the evening one leaves the hotel. It will be great for us to use the shuttle in the mornings, but when we want to go for an evening, thats where it seemed to get tricky on how to get there and back.Deffo will be getting a taxi back for safety reasons+at least i won't have 2 tired girls waiting at the bus stop wanting to get to bed.Our hotel/suite is down where Bahama Breeze is.x.

Yes i've experienced shuttles like that before...

Does the lynx bus go directly to universal... :confused3 ?
