Help getting around sites that need US credit card

I am trying to buy tickets to an event on my second night in NYC, but the website will not accept international credit cards - because of the postcode/zipcode number problem.

Is there anyway around this? I have emailed the organisers to see, but it is an event that is likely to sell out in advance and I don't want to risk waiting till the day to get tickets.

Is using Paypal an option? It often works in those situations

Ive used pay pal or called them and paid over the phone i find that the easiest option.

Thanks, no paypal option but I will try calling them and see if they can help me out.
Just so annoying all cause we are a number short lol

In the past I've either added a zero to the front or used the address of where I will stay as my billing address. Letting the bank know that you are doing this is important too.

On my most recent trip I took my Australian credit card, debit card and a Travelex Visa debit card. I just stuck in my US hotel address and found it worked. I was never questioned by man, machine or bank.
I have also done PrincessBec's suggestion of sticking a zero on the end of the postcode (esp. at disney which seems to only accept five digit post codes) and that works too. I think you'll be fine.

Thank you all so much, I have heard back from the company and they apologised but can't help. Also called the theater direct to be met with no help as well.

I think I will just try the travel card with the hotels address and hope for the best, at the end of the day the ticket is under $20 so if it doesn't work, not a huge loss... I will be more upset to be missing the event

What company are you trying to buy from? Is there a possibility the hotel can get you a ticket?

It is through fathom events, its at the AMC Empire 25, and the tickets are selling online for this venue through movietickets.com - its not a movie I am going to see incase your wondering. Its a live podcast thing

it looks the same as other sites i used to buy tickets try putting in your postcode as whatever it is with a 1 at the end i was going to try to buy the ticket for you but it says you need the card to pick it up but it let me put my details through i just didn't click the final pay button. Travel card should definitely work.
