I know this is on the GF Thread but the tread is so long that it would take for every to read it. I'm booked in a lagoon view room and would like to have a view of the castle (I know there is no guarantee).

Please if you know give me the building and room # if you have one.

Which Building has the most views of the Castle?

Thanks for any info. you can give me.......

Like I said I know this is only a request but it dosen't hurt to ask.

Pixie Dust to You,

We stayed at the GF in December in a suite in the Sugar Loaf Concierge bldg. We could see the castle from our balcony, but we weren't overly impressed with the view. If I were you, I would NOT pay extra for a castle view (at least not at GF). Here's why:

The castle is just far enough away from the GF that it pokes out over the top of some trees across the lagoon--not the breathtaking view I thought it would be. It is small on the horizon, not a beautiful panorama.

And if it's fireworks you're worried about, rest assured that there are so many nice places at the GF to view them, that I don't think a castle view is necessary--you could watch them from the boat dock, from the marina, even from the pool.

I would say, save your money, stay garden view at GF (because the GF is a great hotel) and don't worry about the castle so much. It isn't that great--even our kids (ages 2, 4, 8, 10), said, ooh, the castle, and then never looked out the window at it again! Good luck!

We just returned from Boca Chita which has terrific views from the left side of the building, not just of the castle, but of the monorail, Space Mountain, etc... (We were in a FABULOUS room - 8345) The rest of the building would likely fact the Wilderness Lodge, etc... but is still a very beautiful view, especially when the sun rises and sets.

I have to somewhat agree that I am not sure I would pay extra for that view again and again, but it was very nice to experience it once.

I agree! More than half the Boca Chica buidling is facing the lagoon and MK!

We were also in boca chica in a dormer room with a terrific view of the castle and wishes from our balcony. It was booked as a lagoon view. :bitelip:

I've been in castle view rooms at the GF twice, both times in Conch Key, lagoon view rooms. I've also been in a castle view room at the PR, both times in the Hawaii longhouse. The view from the Polynesian is much nicer.

The only way to GUARANTEE a castle view at WDW is to book LV CL at the PR, or a king non-smoking room 14th FL CL at the CR (which actually has the BEST castle view of the lot.)

If the castle view is the most important thing to you, I would just put that as a request. If you put Boca Chica, castleview or Conch Key, cv they will probably work hard to get you in the building you request but you might lose the castleview.

But it does seem to me that the only lagoon views at Conch Key are castleview. The others rooms in that building face the coutyard or the marina. We did have a room in Conch Key, LV 3rd floor last year with a great MK view but as Ducklite explained, the view of the castle isn't straight on.

I believe the lagoon view rooms in Sago Cay face the castle also. I hope so because that's what we put in our request. We've always stayed in Sago Cay with a marina view so I'm certain that the end of the building rooms face the castle also.

We stayed in Conch Key (I'm sorry--I don't remember the room number) and had a very nice view of the castle (loved watching it change colors at night). Our room was also very close to the boat dock. By the way--the GF is a great resort--we had a great time there, but are now hopelessly spoiled and don't want to stay anywhere else!
