We are staying Saratoga Springs and planning on going to the Mary Poppins Breakfast at the Grand Flor. In plotting my quickest route I amd thinking of bussing it to Epcot..Monorail to MK and then grab a bus or Boat to GF. Or should I buss to MK and Then to GF from there? What do you think?

Bus to MK, Resort Monorail (or boat if you have extra time) to GF.

While the Epcot route would be fun -- it would also be much longer, and adds to possibilities of delays.

Only other thing you might consider, depending on time of ADR, ages and walking ability of those in your group, and where at SSR you are: walking to Marketplace bus stop and going directly to GF...but the walk is 15 minutes and might not work well early in the day.

Shortest remains: bus to MK, Resort Monorail to GF.

Oh great...thanks...I didn't realize GF had a monorail. My DS and I are big monorail fans and while I know we'll have other times to ride it I think it would be cool to do the one to the GF. Do you know where it drops you off in the GF? I am taking 5ys old and my 11month old DD so a 15 walk will not work esp knowing that we are always a tad behind schedule. we will have to be SPIT SPOT for MP that day though!

what time is your ressie? Shortest route is bus to MK, monorail to GF.

No extra $$ for cabs. Maybe we could have a couple of years ago but I am pretty cheap. When we go to NYC I use the subway...more fun and mass transit is always better for people watching and despite being from the smallest state in the USA we almost always run into someone from here no matter where we travel.

The monorail will drop you off on the second floor, right above the main entrance. It will take you less that 5 minutes to get off of the monorail, walk to the elevator, go down one floor and a very short walk to 1900 Park Fare, which is right off the lobby.

Have fun! :wave2:

We stay at SSR (usually Congress Park) and it took us almost 2 hours to get to the Grand Floridian from there. It was the middle of the day and thankfully we just wanted to go see the Gingerbread House.

We took the bus to MK and then the monorail over to GF.

We waited FOREVER for the MK bus. I think at least two busses came for every other park before we could get one. In hindsight we should have taken the bus to Downtown Disney and then another bus to GF.

It is kinda a crap shoot. I would think earlier in the day the busses to the parks would be more regularly spaced.....

This is something important many guests don't know.

In the MORNINGS, if you tell your MK bus driver when you board that you are headed to "X resort" (Contemporary, Poly, Floridian) for breakfast...
then (s)he just MIGHT take you directly to that resort before or after the MK gates stop.

Make SURE to ask the driver when you board the early MK bus.

And, fortunately, the above poster (Captain_Hook)'s experience with getting an MK bus is unusual.
The buses to the parks generally run very frequently (and even more-so in the mornings.)

But, WDW is not immune to the fact that there can be a SNAFU in any system at any time.

I am not going to say you are wrong because I can't prove you are but it seems highly unlikely that a Disney bus would divert from his route because of a guests request. But that being said, lets say you are right and he will do that. What should the OP do with all the time they have now saved because of this driver. I'm figuring about 45 minutes of down time now because they would be foolish to count on such a thing and miss their ressie because of an "uncooperative "bus driver.

Your post has a very rude tone.

How much experience with Disney Breakfast Buses have you had?

We have stayed at SSR many times, and never had trouble with the MK bus -- but like anything else at WDW (or anyplace), things can go wrong on any given day.

Also, Robo is (as usual) entirely correct about possible reroute of the bus in the morning. We have been on the morning bus several times from YC/BC to MK that diverts for drop off at a resort for guests going to a breakfast. And similarly we have been at the bus stop at BC when others have been dropped off for character breakfast at Cape May. It is not as rare as some think. It can't hurt to ask the bus driver -- at worst he/she will say has to stick to the route..and then OP can have a magical monorail rise to GF. (Be sure to take the Resort Monorail, or you'll not make it!) :) The resort monorail goes clockwise (MK, Contemporary, TTC, Poly, GF)-- so you'll go all the way around -- but gives a great view!
