My daughter is 8 years old and has brain cancer. She has to wear pull-ups because sometimes she is unaware that she is "using" the bathroom. We came to WDW in 2011 as a wish family and had access to the wish lounge but this time we aren't going to be there as a wish family. Is there anywhere to change her without doing it in the other restrooms? And where are the best rest areas for her? We will be at WDW during Easter and I am almost sure she will need a rest without going back to the room. Thanks!

You can use First Aid in any of the parks. You could use them for changing her or if she needs to lie down and rest during the day.

Each First Aid location has a Companion (single stall) restroom or you could use a cot for changing her if she needs to lie down.

There are Companion Restrooms in each park - the locations are listed on the park guide maps for guests with disabilities.

Just wanted to add that you can use the first aid centers for more than just changing if you wish. I regularly use them as a place to lie down when I feel ill or just need s break. They are an invaluable resource!

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's cancer! Poor baby!
Thank's for posting this question because I was wondering the same thing myself. My daughter is also 8 and this time around we will need a resting place even more than we need for her wish trip. I'd hate to have to go back to the hotel(off site:scared:) 4 times a day to get out of the heat and rest.
Does anyone know if the first aid areas are air conditioned?

We used the First Aid Stations to change my daughter, and that worked well. Hope you have a wonderful trip!

::yes::

They are inside, are cool and the rooms can be dimmed. It is also generally pretty quite.
This is one of the rooms at MK, which has 2 cots. They also have rooms with one cot or a treatment table.

This room is at the Studio and can also be used for changes or treatments.
