Looking for some advice for an enjoyable last day of our vacation. First time staying on property/dining plan. I just added another night on my stay because flying out on a Friday night and paying for an additional night is cheaper than flying out on a Saturday (for a family of four) soooo....I got another day of free dining..:cool1:

I was thinking of scheduling a Boma breakfast the day we leave...our flight is at 4 so I think ME schedules us for around 1:00? If we check out I'm guessing we can still use transporation to go to AKL for breakfast, right? We are staying at CBR, so it's a lot of transporting that last day....is the breakfast worth it or should I plan somewhere else? I have heard their breakfast is fabulous...but not sure of timing...

Thanks!

We haven't tried Boma, but I hear great things. If you have park tix for that morning, we always enjoyed getting an early ressie for like Crystal Palace at MK and going in before park opening and then having a little bit of time to maybe ride one last ride or get that last souvenir. Plus, it's a great time to get pics - either with your camera or with Photopass.

Haven't tried Boma for breakfast. Just remember that to get to another resort you have to take a bus to a park/TTC and transfer, if you are using the buses. So allow that time.

So if you wish to do a breakfast that morning I would choose one that is closer to you, so you aren't rushing.

If your flight is that late in the day, you may want to consider extending your tickets for an extra day. Once you get past a 3 day ticket, the increases for an extra day are pretty minimal.

you have to take a bus to a park/TTC and transfer,

There are no resort buses at TTC - you must transfer at a park or Downtown Disney.

The DME will schedule you around 1 PM. It's like an airplane - that's the time the bus is scheduled to leave your resort, not the time it's supposed to get there. You must be at the DME waiting area at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time (I give it 15) with your entire party and all the luggage you are planning to carry with you. That would mean you have to be at the frond desk building at CBR by about 12:45. If you have to pick up luggage from bell services you may want to make that a little earlier.

Give yourself an hour at least to travel between resorts. If you take a bus from CBR to AK park to transfer to AKL, my guess is it will also stop at Blizzard Beach so take that into consideration. Also, the park buses stop at Kidani Village first, adding more time to the bus ride. On return, if I remember right, resort buses don't drop off directly at the CBR front desk area, you have to walk from a bus stop nearby.

I think you could possibly make it but I would suggest you go to Boma as early as you can, and I don't know the deal with using the buses to transfer before they are supposed to start running to the parks. I understand there are earlier buses intended to take guests to early park breakfasts, but I don't do anything that early so I don't know how that would work for transferring to a resort.

There's also the option of taking a taxi, which would likely eliminate transportation concerns.

i echo the suggestion to go visit a park for b'fast instead... or just enjoy your resort and maybe use that extra credit to do a dinner show one night (we are huge HDDR fans!!)

another option would be to visit DTD on your last day... it is one of our fave ways to say "good bye" (and good buy! LOL!) as we typically do not buy a lot of souvies during the trip, saving our "wants" for the last day, so we can make educated decisions on what we really want... avoiding the impulse purchasing all week long knwoing we will hit DTD saves us $ in the long run!

Thanks everyone for your input...the traveling to and from Boma is just too much...looks like it could be up to an hour each way. I started plugging away looking for a breakfast and I scored a Crystal Palace ressie :yay: So happy! I thought for sure I wouldn't get in this close to my trip.

I also like the idea of going to DTD at the end of the trip...that is if there's any money left  We are planning on bringing the credit card for check-in and emergency only.
