Help for a Trip in October

We are going to try our hand at camping this October there will be 10 of us in total (2 little kids 3yrs and 2 yrs) plus 3 dogs we will have 2 tent campers (we are getting 2 sites) is this a good time of year to camp? weve never camped down there before this time of year actually its been about 15 yrs since weve camped there before if any one has any advice for me that would be so fantastic

October is a beautiful time of year to camp! Great weather and not too busy and MNSSHP to boot! You'll have a great time!

You will have a wonderful time!

Just one note: You will not be allowed to keep the dogs in a tent camper during the day. They are only allowed to be left alone in hard-sided campers. You will need to put them in the kennels during the day while you're at the parks. (I think the charge is $9 per day, per dog??? I could be wrong - I'm sure somebody else knows the exact charge)

oh really i thought no matter what they had to be brought to the kennel thats good to know thank you.. do dogs have to be on a leash or can we bring a run with us and put them on that (one of our dogs is a huge ball throwing dog and a leash isnt that long for him to play)

Pets must be on a leash at all times when they are being walked. Even when on the pet walk areas.

Do you mean a portable fenced in area? I've never heard of anyone doing this at FW - but maybe somebody else has seen it? Or are you talking about a really long cord attached to something?

yeah a long corded leash like one of those that retrack or like the kind you put a steak in the ground and attach the other end to the dogs collar
