Hello Disers! HELP! My nan and I are leaving for my first (her second) trip to Disneyland in 8 days, and I have afew last minute questions!

1. We are only able to make it to the parks one day during the weekend, Sunday. Do you think we will be able to see the fireworks at 9.30pm, and see Fantasmic! at 10.30pm? This is the only day we're going that these shows are on and I'd really like to catch them both.

2. We are planning on doing the W.O.C dining at Ariels, and I am hopefully booking this today (hopefully I don't have to ring and can do this online). My question is, if we have booked, do we have to confirm on the day of our booking that we are definitely going?

1. Yes, you should be able to see the fireworks and then the 2nd Fantasmic. :thumbsup2

From HydroGuy's Fantasmic Superthread (link):

Can I see the park fireworks from the hub and Fantasmic! on the same night?

Yes, you can on nights there is a second Fantasmic! show and the fireworks are scheduled between the two shows. And it is not that hard.

You cannot however see the first Fantasmic! show and then make it to the hub to see the fireworks. Disney purposely chooses the starting time of the fireworks to make this impractical.

To see the second Fantasmic! show after the fireworks you should watch the fireworks from the Frontierland side of the hub. Then as soon as the fireworks end move quickly into Frontierland and towards New Orleans Square where the Fantasmic! viewing area is located. You can often find a spot in the sitting area at this time.

Some savvy guests bypass the surge into Frontierland by taking the path through the Rancho del Zocalo restaurant.

2. For the WOC dining at Ariel's, you do not have to confirm; at least that's how it worked in the summer of 2010. When you arrive at Ariel's at your reservation time, they will give you the "ticket" (FastPass) for the WOC show.

HydroGuy has some tips in the following thread:

HTH :earsboy:

When we were there about three weeks ago we did pretty much what Hydro Guy suggested.

We watched the fireworks from Main Street between Coke Refreshment Corner and the photo pick up store. We were closer to the photo store because many of the fireworks are actually to the left of the castle and not directly over it. Once the fireworks ended we headed towards Frontierland. Lots of people have the same plan so CMs will direct you to the bridge into Frontierland. Once the first Fantasmic show viewers leave the area you'll be able to find a spot around the ROA.

Thanks guy's! You've answered my questions to the T. Only 9 days to go now. YAY! I just booked the Beluga Whale experiance at Sea World. Excited!
