Help! I'm surprising my daughter for her 16th bday by flying just the two of us (I'm her mom) to WDW for 2 days. We will get to WDW around 11am so we'll have the rest of that day (Sunday) and then all of Monday. We leave FL at 10am Tuesday. Any ideas that you think would make her trip special? I thought about taking her to the ice cream social at Epcot and maybe a b-fast at Chef Mickey's on Tuesday morning? Should I try to plan for seeing all 4 parks? I also booked lunch in the castle, but not sure it's worth taking time out from the rides...any help would be great! Thanks!::MinnieMo

Have you ever been to WDW before? If so, what things does your daughter like to do when she's there? I would def. recommend going to MK,Epcot and Disney Studios, but does she like Animal Kingdom? Usually w/o little kids, AK can be done in less than half a day. Since you only have 2 days, the main key here is to plan ahead what you want to do, but if yu're going during the summer months, it is even harder to do everything you want to do.

BTW, a WDW trip was my 16th b-day present also. I was really excited, and had a great time on the trip. I hope your daughter does as well!

For my 18th birthday, my parents surprised me with a character dinner at Crystal Palace (MK)... It was wonderful!

I got pictures with all the characters, special confetti on the table, a birthday cupcake, and a card from the characters!

The birthday dinner was my favorite part of the day (besides Wishes), and I know lots of restaurants in the parks and hotels would be more than happy to help plan for a special birthday.

good luck!::MinnieMo

when we went near my 11th bday my parents took me for dinner to cheif mickeys and i got a cup cake and everyone sang. it was so much fun. if you go to a park like i did on my bday you can get a pin and everyone will tell you Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom (CDoobee) has surprised me TWICE with a WDW trip, once during my b-day.

In MHO, I don't think you should try all 4 parks, that's just too rushed. Just try one a day, her favorites (if she's been), and if not, the two you think she'd like most. Of course, you could always buy Park Hoppers and ask her, when you get there, what she wants to do. I know I really liked it when my mom let me make the desicions (sp?) on my 'special day'. Not just big ones, but like, what to ride next and where to eat lunch.

I can't really think of anything else to suggest, but I'm sure anything you guys do will be fine. Just knowing that you're in WDW is, like, the best part.:D
