Hi everyone, im new to this board. My sister who is special needs is 40 this xmas and has always wanted to go disney to celebrate this birthday. I want to arrange a special dinner/character lunch or something to mark the day. Can anyone recommend anything suitable to mark this occasion and how soon would i need to book. She really enjoyed meeting the characters a number of years ago when we were there and also enjoyed the wild west show. Thanks for your help!

Hello and welcome to the boards :goodvibes

I'd be booking asap the nearer you get to Christmas the busier it is going to get and if you are talking about going Christmas week the hotels/restaurants will be very full.

What dates are you looking at ? If you were going with a Sunday in your stay you have the Sunday Brunch at Inventions that has great food choices - it's an amazing buffet- and characters. They have a different theme every week.

The only character lunch that is daily is Café Mickey.

Dinner with characters is either again Café Mickey or the dinner buffet at Inventions

hth :)

So you got Friday evening, all day Saturday and do you have time for a meal on Sunday or not ?

The Brunch is from 13.00-15.00 and on the 16th the theme is Fairytales with Rapunzel which sounds wonderful and it's rare to have her on a met and greet :goodvibes

I forgot earlier but you also have the Auberge de Cendrillon which is finer dining and you get a couple of Princesses, a Prince and Cindrellas mice that come round.

You can see the new menus for CM and Auberge here on the restaurant sticky plus you have reviews of all 3 that can give you an idea

Vala has done lots of reviews of Inventions - her latest 3 are on this thread

I would definitly reserve your meals as soon as you decide as then you've got them and you won't be wasting time on the day as with you coming over a weekend it will be busy busy :goodvibes

Thanks so much for your help!! I was also wondering what time the park closes at Christmas and what time the evening light shows etc take place?? Just want to factor these in with dinner times etc
