HELP FITS passes & Discount Orlando

I am just begining to do my research on park passes. The DW and I just recently became DVC members. Although we get a discount on UPH passes, and the PAP would save us money if we go back again within 12 months we are worried that we will only be going for one trip in Jan 05 for 10 nights, 11 days.

We recently heard of the Fun in the Sun Passes or FITS passes and have found discount Orlando to buy then $310/adult and something less like $240 for children. Has anyone had any problems issues with these. I understand the vouchers are basically marketed only for eupopean and australian travelers but 30 consecutive admissions to all parks and water parks and PI seems a real bargain and a character breakfast free as well.

Is there an issue with american travelers using them and is discount orlando reputable, help please!!!!!!

I received my vouchers from Discount Orlando with no problem. I haven't traded them in yet for tickets, but everything looks to be OK. I read on mousesavers.com that one person has reported being given a hard time about the tickets but that they were allowed to use them.

Hi dmciii,

We used the vouchers in Dec. 2003 and we did have a little trouble exchanging them at the Epcot Guest Services desk on a Sunday night, about 45 min. before closing. I give the details because I wonder if we had tried at a different time/place our experience may have been better. The CM was reluctant to issue us the passes...and actually thought the company we bought them from (Paramount) sold them to us thinking we were from the Netherlands (we are from Holland, MI, LOL!! ). Anyway, I showed her my receipt for the vouchers and she called a supervisor who talked her through the process and after about a half hour we were finally issued the tickets. My DH was really nervous that we'd lost $1200...but all worked out fine in the end. And the tickets were great, very versatile and a good value...we probably would buy them again. Just FYI, most people do not have a problem exchanging these vouchers...not sure why we did. Good luck!

Bought mine from Paramount and used them this August - exchanged the vouchers at the MK with no problem - wife and I had to show drivers licenses and that was it. No problem with the free breakfast voucher either.

I ordered from discountorlando and received the vouchers which we activated in mid-September. Activated at Epcot when we arrived on a Monday afternoon and had no trouble whatsoever. The CM gave me a receipt and said to keep it separate from the tickets as the receipt could be used to replace the tickets if we lost them. I loved being able to go anywhere anytime with the FITS. It was easy to go to a park until early aftgernoon, head to a water park until it closed and then to Disneyquest. The breakfast voucher worked great. I highly recommend the FITS and Discountorlando.
