I just booked our first Disney vacation for my family and also booked the dining plan with 1 Ts,1 Cs, and 1 snack. Our kids will be 4 and 2 at the time we visit. What are the "must do restaurants" with kids at this age in all the different parks. (FYI 4 year old is a girl and 2 year old is a boy.) I can't wait to start planning!!!
TIA

Most of the Character breakfasts are good (hard to mess up breakfast foods)
Our favorite breakfast (ate there 3 years in a row and going on a 4th):

Ohanas Best Friends breakfast: Breakfast is served Family styled (they bring
all the food to your table--all you can eat). Food is good. Characters
are: Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto (they are not rushed). The atmosphere
is very pleasent. It is also very easy to get to the POLY even if you are not
a guest there since they are right on the Monorail. We usually eat here
and hop on the monorail to MK.

Tusker House Donalds Safari Breakfast (at AK): This is a Buffet breakfast
that was very good. It is also very conventaint for the day you will go to
AK. There was a wide sellection of food. The characters were: Donald, Daisy
and Pluto.

Chef Mickey at the CR (Mickey and the gang)
Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom-(Pooh Characters)

These are two that are boy and girl friendly. I didn't know if you would want to do any princess meals.

We loved Whispering canyon Cafe at the Wilderness lodge and we think our daughter (2) will have fun when we take her in April

We enjoy eating at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom. The characters are Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet and Tigger. We've had lunch and dinner, both good, and most DIS'er like the breakfast.

You can check out the menus and restaurants under the Dining category at
www.allearsnet.com They also go into detail as far as Character Dining, too.

add another vote to the Crystal Palace column! And I would think little ones might also like Cosmic Rays (counter service). A lot will depend on how picky your kids are about their food. My son at that age would have loved Boma but he's always been very adventurous when it comes to eating.

What characters do your children like?

I'm another vote for the Pooh characters at Crystal Palace. Also Chef Mickeys has great characters and food.

50's Prime Time is great for a fun atmosphere and simple, well cooked food.

Have a look at the food report in my signature for some food ideas - we ate everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My kids both (boy & girl) were amazed by Cinderella's Royal Table in the castle.
We loved Ohana's too.

This time we're excited to try Chef Mickey's which seems to be universally loved on the boards.

What meals do your kids eat best, when my kids were little they loved a later breakfast, so we did Cape May breakfast around 9:50 one non park morning had ablast & the food was very good. We also enjoy Chef Mickeys, Ohana breakfast & Crystal Palace. They also loved eating around the World showcase. Non Char/buffet meals my kids liked were Chef de France, Whispering Canyon & Coral Reef.

Welcome to DIS. :wave2:

My suggestion is come up with a basic itinerary of what you'll be doing each day of your trip. Then you can find restaurants that will be in your area, and will easily fit in your schedule. There are tons of great places to eat and you'll get all sorts of suggestions. Look over the menus in advance and you can find reviews of almost every restaurant right here on this board.

Take a look at the menus here:

Good luck.
