Hi this is my first time using the DDP, we will be doing Sept 12-20, I have made all my TS reservations but need help with my CS. I am not familiar with where these are, who has the best, and how they work here is my list of TS reservations:

9/13 Crystal palace, dinner
9/14 Rain Forest AK, Lunch (not on plan, why not?)
9/14 HDDR, dinner (will my DD, enjoy this?)
9/15 50' prime time, dinner
9/16 Universal studios (Where to eat here any suggestions?)
9/17 Breakfast with the princess
9/17 Chef Mickeys, dinner
9/18 O'hana, breakfast
9/19 Chef Mickey's, breakfast

Any suggestions, or help what do you think? All are character, because DD is 7 and I am a kid too!!!

Thanks again.

We went last September during free dining and here are the CS places we ate at:

Cosmic Rays (MK) - standard fast food type food (burgers, salad, chicken) - had a good toppings bar
Toy Story Pizza Planet (MGM) - this gets mixed reviews but we thought it was a good amount of food (pizza and a salad)
Wolfgang Puck Express (DTD) - one of our best meals!
Sunshine Seasons (Epcot) - good food, lots of choices

We're going again this September and these are some other places that we're going to try based on reviews I've read here:
Columbia Harbour House (MK)
Flame Tree BBQ (AK)
Pepper Market (CSR) - a variety to choose from
Yakitori (Epcot) - japanese food
Le Cantina San Angel (Epcot) - mexican food

All the places you have chosen are great places to eat. I'm not sure I would have chosen that many character meals, but to each his own. I curious to know when your meal times are. We just got back and we did 2 character meals, last year we did 4. We were not happy with the princess meal in Norway, but the one in Cinderella's castle was awesome. Not sure which you are doing. We did do Hoop De Doo this year and it was some of the best food on the trip. This was our 4th time and still love the silly show!!! O'Hana breakfast is one of the best. We do Crystal Palace every trip, but we do breakfast. Chef Mickey's is great as well. This year we did the Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fare and it was awesome. As far as counter service meals there are many to choose.Go to the Dis web site or Deb's and pull up the menu's. My favorite is at the Starlight Cafe in MK. Lot's of choices, lots of room. They have 3 different counters serving different foods. Your DH might like the BBQ chicken and rib meal. A $14 counter service meal you can use on the dining plan. Best CS meal in the Parks! I all depends on what your family likes. Take a look at the menu's and go from there. Happy Planning!!!

Our favorite counter service places at each resort are:

Magic Kingdom -- Columbia Harbor House, Pinocchio Village Haus
Epcot -- Sunshine Seasons, Electric Umbrella
Hollywood Studios -- none -- we eat at one of the resorts
Animal Kingdom -- Flame Tree Barbecue

I can agree with dining at a lot of the Character meals-my kids love them. We have all of our dining booked for our September trip-called at 7am last saturday! The one must do according to my kids for this trip, is the HDDR. Last trip my kids were 15mo, 4, and 9 and they were all entertained! (Of course this was the one ADR I had difficulty with for this trip, so we will be doing the 9:30 seating on the dining plan). But anyways, my point was that both you and your daughter will find entertainment in this show and I definately think that it is worth the 2 TS credits.

9/14 Rain Forest AK, Lunch (not on plan, why not?)

Because the Rainforest Cafes, which are not owned or run by Disney, have chosen not to participate in the plan.

THe Flame Tree Barbecue is good. My Daughter, after much debate ended up with my rib meal and the ducks got her hotdog and bun. At least I got her fruit cup. Now for her to eat barecue that is not prepared by her grandpaw is saying alot.
