Need some help, hoping to book a last minute anniversay trip and know that SSR is most likely be the only resort available. We have never stayed there before. Where should I asked to stay in the resort??

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

It depends on your wants / needs. When we stay at SSR we request the Grandstand area. That's the first bus stop, so you have a better chance to get a seat (also you are dropped off first - a bonus at the end of the day if you are dragging kids or cranky spouses.)

On the other hand, if you plan on spending a lot of time downtown, then the Paddock may make more sense. It's a short walk to downtown from there.

If you are doing a lot of parks and have kids, Grandstand and Springs are good. Both near theme pools and Grandstand is first bus stop (Springs is last) and both are convenient to the main buildings for the resort. If you want to do more resort type things, Paddocks and Congress Park, both convenient to DTD Market place, not far from the main area and both have quite pools. If you have a rental car or want to be further away from the action and people, Carousel is good. Furtherst from the main area and near quiet pools. With a car it is easy to get in and out of the resort without dealing with the traffic busses cause.

It is going to be an adult trip this time. Think we might do mostly resort things and DTD, also would like to go to Epcot.

I guess that Congress would be the best for us this trip.

Thanks.
