Need a little tutorial here please. I would prefer to listen to the full show.

I found the link on the podcast main page, when I click Download full show, it just starts playing.

Can someone give me instructions to get the full show into iTunes please.

Thanks in advance!!!

When you click on the link, do you get a pop-up asking you if you want to Open or Save the target? If you do, you want to Save the file. Save it anywhere you can remember on your PC. Then, open iTunes. You should be able to drag & drop the .mp3 from wherever you saved it to iTunes, or import it, just like you do any other .mp3 (song). It will show up under "Music", not "Podcast", but will play just like any other Podcast.

Let me know if that answers your questions or not!

Thanks!!

I didn't get a pop-up when I clicked, but when I right-clicked on the 'Download' I was able to 'Save Link as' and then got it into iTunes.

Thanks again.

( No way to make it go into podcasts, huh)

If you search in the iTunes store for DIS, you should find the individual shows for downloading and when you download from there, they should load into your "Podcasts" in iTunes.

I'm not aware of a way to make it go into podcasts. If you figure that out, let me know! :thumbsup2

I've got those, thanks, but I'm trying to get the full show. :)

I made a "DIS Unplugged" playlist on my iPod and drag the full show into that. There are a couple downsides though - there's no 30-second backup button, plus it tends to start over at the beginning if I pause a show and restart it later.

I always drag and drop podcats into iTunes but they show up as music, not podcasts. That is just fine with me. The one thing I do is set it to remember the playback position so you can resume where you left off instead of having to fast foward through the whole thing.

MP3s downloaded are, by default, seen as "music" and go into your main iTunes library but you can change the designation so it shows up in the "podcasts" section.

Highlight the file and do "get info" (command+I) or, alternately, right click and choose "get info". Then, under the "options" tab, change the "media kind" to "podcast."

Probably a slightly different command key sequence if you're on a PC, but same idea.

Thanks, this worked!! I had looked in Get Info, but obviously not closely enough. :)

See, coopersmom's instructions, it worked great!!

Thanks, coopersmom, that's a great tip! These boards are awesome!

Sorry - didn't read your first post closely enough! :upsidedow

Thanks, coopersmom for the tip on how to get the full shows into podcasts! :thumbsup2
