Help! Does anyone know where Chef TJ is?

I was diagnosed with celiac disease three and a half years ago. I am planning my second trip to Disney World for November this year and was so looking forward to going to O'Hana's for dinner because I thought Chef TJ was there and had heard such wonderful reviews about him. However, I have since heard that he is no longer there :sad1: and I would love to know if he just moved on to another restaurant at Disney, or not.

Thank you to anyone who can help me.

I've heard he is gone from the Poly now and might be at the Grand Floridian. When I was there in early February, I didn't ever see him there and we ate at several Grand Floridian restaurants.

However, the chefs at the Poly were by far the most amazing, creative and conscientious ones I dealt with. Every meal was an excellent experience. I even changed one of my ADR's while at Disney to Ohana again for dinner, that's how good it was.

Good luck!:goodvibes

I've also heard that he's moved to the Grand Floridian but like everybody else, I have yet to actually see him there. I suspect he no longer comes out to work directly with guests. I suspect he's now head chef at one of the restaurants (or maybe over the GF dining in general) but that we get to work with sous-chefs.

You can't go wrong at Poly. We LOVE Poly dining.

You can always ask the waitstaff to see if TJ would mind coming out to visit. HE is so nice and really missed at Bomas.

Thanks for sharing that review from 1900PF. I'm guessing the mistake I've been making is going for breakfast. I have no room left in my itinerary for another dinner in my August trip so I guess I'll have to go back to WDW again after that to meet Chef TJ. LOL

You know, we did the same thing this past trip too. We only ate breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, not dinner. We also ate at the GF Cafe as well as Narcoosee's but no Chef TJ.

But I like your logic...it's another reason to go back to Disney!

Thanks for the update. I really wasn't planning to eat at the Grand Floridian - something really appeals to me about O'Hana, but I sure would love to see Chef TJ. Perhaps by November he will be somewhere else.
