I called this morning at 9:30 to make our ressies for December. We are staying from 12/01 - 12/09. We need a two bedroom unit and the only ones left were lock offs.
That tends to be a very busy time as most guests make their ressies at the 11 month window. So good luck. Hope it works out.

A lockoff two bedroom is actually a studio and one bedroom with a connecting door. The studio unit has its own entry and exit, plus access through the one bedrom...vs. a dedicated 2 bedroom that is one unit and has only the main entry through the one bedroom portion.

Also, lock off units (since they are a studio + 1 bedroom) will have 1 bed and a sleeper sofa in the second bedroom, whereas dedicated units usually have 2 beds in the second bedroom. Excpt at OKW, where all studios and 2nd bedrooms have 2 queen beds.

A lockoff is a studio and 1 bedroom with the door open in between to form a 2 bedroom. The second bedroom will be the studio, with a separate entrance. At VWL, a studio has 1 queen and 1 sleeper sofa. If you got a dedicated 2 bedroom (cannot be split), there would be 2 queens in the second bedroom and no second entrance.

Question for the lock off- Will the keycards be activated so you can use the studio entrance or will the card only be accessed to get into the 1 bedroom half?

Keys open both exterior doors. Be sure when you make your reservation that you specify that you want a lockoff, otherwise if there is a dedicated ressie available MS will book you into that first.
