My DH and I used to go to DQ all the time but we haven't been in years. My DD age 5 loves arcade, Chuck E Cheese, etc....I know there are parts of DQ she might enjoy, but has anyone taken a child that age with success? What things did your young kids enjoy there? I don't want to pay for admission without a few opinions first. Thanks everyone!!

There is actually a section of DQ that is set up for kids, with more child-friendly games. There may have actually been some skeeball, too. It's not the same as Chuck E. Cheese's, but there's so much to do, even for little ones. My DD's, who were almost 5 and 9 at the time, spent the most time, though, on the first floor doing some art-thing. Remember, also, that DQ is one of your options if you purchase the Water Parks and More Option. Hint--do NOT go there if it's raining or on a Saturday night! Everybody else does this, too :scared1:

We have PAP's which include DQ and I've taken the boys there only twice. The lines are really long both times were were there and many games the little ones couldn't play and it can get a bit crazy with all the kids w/o parents running from game to game. If i'm going to be waiting in line for something is going to be for a ride at one of the parks. Don't get me wrong I will definitely take the boys again when the little one is able to play with most games as it is really hard for me to explain why his older brother can do it and he can't....

We took my DD last year when she was 5 because we had the water parks and more tickets. She loves Chuckee Cheese but she wasn't that thrilled with the games at DQ because you didn't collect tickets to get prizes. The only thing she really liked about DQ was the learn to draw session with an animator. I don't think I would take her again unless we were absolutely desperate for something to do.

Thanks for the input! I think that we'll avoid DQ and go mini-golfing instead. She LOVES mini golf & Fantasia Gardens would probably delight her!

I took my 6 yr old nephew there he had a great time playing the games and he made his own CD and still talks about it we had to pay for the CD he wakes up and tells us I wish I was back at Disney can I make another CD when we go back I tell him sure hoping to go next year his brother will be three so we have to pay for him too I say give it a try there is a lot the family can do together too at DQ
