Hi. I'm new to this board and this is my first post :)

I'm taking 4 nieces and nephews to Disneyland from 9/27 to 10/4. I'm looking for a hotel with family suites (hopefully affordable).

I checked on several sites and Peacock Resorts & Suites and Islander Resorts looks good. Anyone ever stayed there?

If not... anyone have suggestions on other hotels/suites?

I'm trying to keep the cost down as I will need to pay for everyone :(

Thanks

Raffles is very economical, and though the hotel isn't fancy the rooms are pretty nice. The ART stops right in front of it, and it's not far from the DL Resort.

I do like the Residence Inn (on Clementine) - includes hot breakfast

Residence Inn Resort Area (on Harbor) has nice rooms - parking can get tight at night, though)

I heard that Portofino Inn & Suites is pretty popular.

I don't have any info on Peacock or Islander Suites though.

Aloha Nancy,

We had three adults and three kids in our group and stayed in a family suite at the Park Inn and Suites right across the street and were very happy. It had refrigerator, microwave and dinette inside that helped alot. It was very inexpensive. We don't drive in California and so we needed someplace that was within walking distance and also where we could get tours to Universal; Sea World and Knotsberry too. We got the best rates at www.getawaytoday.com (price per room per day not per person and also included 2 park hopper tickets) and they had many other hotels too.
Hope you and the keikis have a great time. You are a terrific aunty.

Hi Nancy,

Great to have another Hawaii person on the DIS!

I haven't stayed there myself, but one of my friends who's very budget-conscious (and insists on staying somewhere clean), stays at Desert Inn & Suites right across the street on Harbor. She usually goes there with her husband and 3 daughters, so she looks for somewhere spacious, yet affordable.

Stay away from the Islander!! It's not the cleanest of motels!

I'd go with Park Inn or Desert Inn & Suites. They are right across the street from the parks so you can walk back and forth and don't have to worry about shuttles!

I know that the onsite hotels are completely booked that weekend and I have a room at Park Place Inn & they front desk manager said they were almost booked solid also! If I"m not mistaken, there were few rooms left at Desert Inn also(my friends are staying there! LOL)so be prepared for crowds Friday-Sunday. Just a heads up!!
