I was wondering if anyone has used tour guide mike? Is it worth the money , or should I just take the $22.00 and buy a refillable cup? I am travleing with my two daughters and husband, we are staying a POP and I am very excited for this trip. I want to make sure we get the most out of our trip, any advice? Also is the refillable cup refillable at all disney places MK, EC, MGM, AK? :rotfl2:

We bought The Unofficial guide to Disney World and used it to plan our trip. The more you plan the more you will be able to do on your trip.

I bought it for 18 and must say it is helpful....if you have never been to disney. I have and i i find that everything on the site you can find out at mouseforless, or any other disney site or just by asking on the boards. But it is different for everyone, it tells you when to make your reservations and when to do stuff like that but otherwise..npot for me. :confused3

I, too, am a "disney virgin". And while I must admit I didn't pay for tourguidemike (it was included as a perk in my vacation I booked through the magic for less travel company), I can say that I will most definitely pay for it for our next trip if we ever save enough money to do this again! LOL! Tourguidemike has been extremely helpful and his site is the most thorough I've seen of any site so far. He tells you the "why" of everything and gives you the tools and knowledge to be able to make your own decisions while in Disney. I feel like a Disney veteran and I've never even been there before. Friends of ours came over the other night (who go to Disney twice a year) and I was telling THEM things they never even knew. She was absolutely amazed! I know the best seats for each show, I know tips on how to get a higher score on certain rides, etc...............It's awesome and I would recommend him highly to anyone.

As for your mug question...........no refillable mugs for the parks. :sad2: You can only get a mug for your specific resort and it can only be refilled at your specific resort. Each mug is different at the different resorts. You can also buy one at Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach that can refilled for the whole day while you're there. Your resort mug can be refilled as many times as you want for the length of your stay. I forget all the choices, but it's something like sodas, coffee, hot chocolate, lemonade and tea I think. Hope this helps!

I have been to disney 53 times and the cup is worth it it is not for the parks but i used it in the morning for coffee then coming back to the hotel i got soda and so on. Did you get the meal plan it is so worth it. Buying one of the books helps out to they tell you advise and hints about the parks. have fun

I like going to www.allearsnet.com (she has all of the restaurant menus, hotel photos, and any information that you can imagine) and www.mousesavers.com (lots of great money saving tips while at WDW---I just recently saved 20% off of a new suitcase thanks to her site). Good luck and have fun! :)

I vote for TGM! I just returned from WDW on good friday and used his tips ! I have to say they were right on! THe rides to ride , and at what time. The ones to get fast passes for , and the ones to ride first. All of it! Might i add...........it was spring break! I would purchase TGM again and again! :cheer2:

I'm using his service now for a trip in 10 days. It's for SURE worth the money!! WAY CHEAP- for all the information that you get from him. :thumbsup2

I bought TGM and UG and plan to use them both. TGM has so much information, it can't help but be helpful. :) Enjoy your trip!

I just purchased TGM yesterday and from what I can see so far it will be worth it! He has so much information that I am just now begining to sift through it all.

I also bought tgm. You get a discount for being a memeber of dis. I have been to disney at least 15 times, I've lost track. But I just bought tgm last week and have learned so much already. It's a great deal. Lots of good and useful info. He just gets you more excited to go again.

I have to say I purchased the Unofficial Guide and everyday I vowed to use the touring plans and everyday the plan went out the window as soon as we stepped into the park. It depends on the size of your group and their ability to follow a plan. I went with 16 people, 6 kids the ages 8 and under (5 of those were girls the ages 5 and under) and following the plans were not an option. I found myself the worst. As soon as I stepped onto Main Street in the MK, I could care less abot Space Mountain and spent 20 minutes just trying to get the perfect pics of my dd, my dn and dcs in front of the castle, while crying the whole time  . We also ended up doing the character searching instead of rides, but the lines weren't so bad so we ended up getting the best of both worlds! Have a great trip - also on the mugs - we purchased the mug from the resort and it fit just about one of coffee from the in room coffee maker - just my size!
