I will be vacationing in Orlando this coming summer. I have plans to check in on Monday 6/6 and Check out Wednesday 6/15. We will be visiting both Disney World and Universal during this trip. I'm having trouble deciding if I should stay at a Disney resort the entire trip and drive to Universal 3 of those days, or split the trip. If I split the trip, I would check in to Disney on Monday - check out Sat & check in to Universal. I will have my own vehicle, but not sure about the commute to Universal or the parking. Any suggestions? Thank you!

June may be a very busy time of year for both parks. When I do a split stay, I always stay onsite at both. While at Disney, I stay at a Disney hotel, and when I go to universal, I stay at one of the 3 onsite hotels. I always have a car, and while parking is included in the Disney rates, Loews owns the 3 Universal hotels that are onsite, and you pay 20 dollars plus tax, so about 22 a night for parking. Parking at Universal is 20 dollars plus tax at their huge parking garages and are a walk to the parks via Citywalk. Note with the 3 onsite Universal hotels, you get an unlimited express pass that is good for the day you check in through the day you check out. For Disney, you get a jump on the fast pass reservations. Some stay offsite for both, and drive to the parks each day. There are many hotels, condos, and homes that are close to both parks. I'd look at cost and convenience. For us, convenience wins most of the time, and I like to stay close or onsite where I'm going to be.

I agree a split stay would probably be the best. Disney resorts to get the FP+ reservations early and then I would go over to one of the US hotels. At the three deluxes you can get the express pass or you can purchase the expresses you need and stay at CBBR. Love that resort.
