Hi! We're going the end of Feb. to get in on free dining. We've invited my brother in law to go with us (we'd pay as a birthday/Christmas gift as we wouldn't have to get another room if we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside), so if he goes there will be 3 adults and 2 kids. My concern is that he's a little hard to pin down, so if I make the change to our current ressie, and add him, and then he changes his mind at the last minute, can my husband and I use his dining credits? And could we just save his 5 day hopper pass to use on a later trip??

Just trying to figure this all out before I make any changes to our current reservation. Thanks for any help!

Sometimes WDW checks for all the parties upon checkin since some have said that other people are added to the reservation to get extra dining credits. The ticket, if not used is good forever. You could just order 2 day tickets and upgrade as you wish instead of all the 5 day tickets.

And keep in mind you will be paying an extra adult nightly fee on the room charge if you add him to your res.

I am leaving on Wednesday for the Poly. I just added in my partner 5 days ago. She can never commit to the dates and I didn't want to pay without know her plans.

I spoke with a CM at reservations and they told me I had until 3 days before to add her on.

I agree. He ought to know more than 3 days ahead if he is coming.

If you make changes within 2 weeks, no matter what kind of change, they might charge you $15 to make the change. So, I'd see if he will know by 2 weeks from arrival. Then you can add him.

If he's already on the reservation, and you drop him within 45 days of arrival, you're subject to the $50 change fee because the cost of your package will be less. If you drop him within 2 weeks, you might have to pay $65 just to drop him.

You could use his dining credits and save his ticket (I agree with buying the 2 day tickets and then upgrading if you don't want to pay for an extra 5 day ticket) but you would still be paying the extra adult charge per night on the room. I think it may be $20 a night for each extra adult at a moderate.

I was just reading the responses here and I wondering about someone saying that the "ticket lasts forever".. don't you have to purchase the no expiration on ticket or pass? or it will expire within 14 days?

The ticket does not expire as long as no part of it is used. For instance, if you have a 3 day ticket, use one day, then the rest expires unless you buy the no expiration. If you buy a ticket and do not enter the park with it, the clock does not start until you enter a park with it.
