First of all, I know we're crazy for going at Easter because the crowds will be huge but unfortunately we have no choice since my husband's niece is getting married there on March 24th (day after Easter Sunday). We're trying to decide between Coronado or one of the Port Orleans resorts and I'm having a heck of a time. There will be me and my DH and our two sons (one will be 9 and the other will be 3-1/2). I'm most interested staying somewhere that will be the most convenient for us with transportation and eating (we're not big sit-down restaurant people at the moment - much easier with the boys in a cafeteria style place!) plus somewhere that will be fun for the boys. I know all the resorts will be packed but is one better with bus service than the other for instance? Any other comments would be most appreciated. Will it make any difference with the crowds if stay an extra week before Easter or an extra week after? I'm guessing it's going to be crazy busy no matter which week we choose but I thought I'd ask anyways. Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

Dont discount the character meals. Your boys are close in age to mine and they loved them! Sit down but with the fun!

CSR has great transportation (not shared) and is centrally located to all the parks. Check out my CSR website below for pics and info.

The week before Easter will not be near as crowded as the week after Easter. Crowds will pick up the closer you get to Easter, but starting Easter Saturday, it will be crazy.

While I love POR/POFQ, I'd go for CSR. We found the buses to be a nightmare at POFQ (shared with POR) over spring break.

I have been to POR so many times and the food court there is great for your "cafeteria boys"! The buses are not nearly as bad as everyone says they are. They have a bunch of things to do at the resort like bike-riding, fishing, swimming, boating, a playground, etc. I would stay there!:)
Have fun!

We stayed at CSR twice when the boys were younger and they loved it! The pool is awesome and the food court, the Pepper Market, has a great selection. Of course, now we're staying at POR in August (got an upsell from POP and it was only good for POR, not CSR).

I am a new member - just joined today! I am going to Disney for Mardi Gras 08. We will be there for my son's 6th birthday. Any suggestions???::MickeyMo

You should probably post this separately with a list of questions. Inlude your info, like where youa re staying, if you have chosen, and who is in your party.
:welcome: to the DIS. This board has so much info I am hooked! Have fun planning!

I am sorry I did not give enough information. We are going to Disney in Feb for the Mardi Gras holiday. My husband, me, daughter (10), and son (5). We are staying at POP. We are going Sat. to Sat. My son's 6th birthday will be the Tuesday we are there. I was just looking for any cool ideas to make the day special, but I want to make sure my daughter does not feel left out or not as special.

Why not a character meal like Chef Mickey? I think even your daughter would enjoy this and I hear they make a fuss over bdays!

I was thinking of that. He said he would like to eat with all of them, but I explained the characters aren't all in the same place. He said he wanted to eat with Chip and Dale. That should be pretty easy. I think they are almost at every character meal. Thank you for your help.

I like POR, but if you don't get to the main stop transportation can be difficult at the busy time...

Are you planning on park command mode or relaxing?

POR is lovely & out of the way fro relaxing. They have a boat cruise for kids (extra $, $28 I think) that isn't crowded & easy ticket to get. POR has cane fishing, carriage rides ($35/group) and the lovely boat ride to DTD. Great choice if you aren't planning on hitting the parks hard.

If you are hitting all the parks daily, I vote for closest commute.

Um no Chip and Dale are not. I know the are at the Garden Grill at Epcot. They are longer part of the Chef Mickey lineup. I dont know about LTT in MK.

Chip and Dale are or are not at Chef Mickey's? I was thinking of maybe doing Chef Mickey's for dinner. When we went in April 05' for breakfast Chip and Dale were there for the breakfast. I am not sure about dinner.

Chip and Dale are part of the Chef Mickey's lineup. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale.

That is not true anymore. She should ask this on the Restaurant board. I was part of a thread there where someone was asking for Chip and Dale. I was just there for breakfast on April 29 2007 and it was the fab five, it was Mickey Minnie Donald Goofy and Pluto!

Here is a thread even started today when I ddi a search, not the one I was in awhile ago.
