Title says it all.

We are staying at the Poly at the end of September, so getting to the GF is no big deal. We're trying to decide if we should do a CRT breakfast or the Gala dinner at the GF.

Help! Our DD3, my DH, and I are going.

Thanks!
Kristi

It all depends what you want. We did the 1900 Park Fare in '06, back when it was Suzy and Perla Mouse and Fairy Godmother instead of current Lady Tremaine and Step-sisters. Food is buffet, but quality and variety was pretty good.

CRT (for breakfast & lunch anyways) gives you more princesses. You get Cinderella in the lobby and a picture package included. We had Jasmine, Belle, Snow White and Fairy Godmother in the restaurant. Food is OK, but less options. You are really paying the extra money for this one for the oppurtunity to eat in the castle itself. If your little one is REALLY into Cinderella specifically, I would go with 1900 Park Fare, but if she likes ALL the princesses, or you yourself would love to eat at the castle.

When our DD was 3.5, I chose 1900 Park Fare because it was less money and at 3 years old, I didn't think our DD would particularly appreciate eating in the castle. In 2007 when she was 4.5, we did eat at CRT with free dining, but did that more for our friends 9 y.o. DD. But when asked where she would like to go if we go back, she said "The Castle" so I already have an ADR in case we get free dining again this fall. I personally would like to do 1900 Park Fare to see the step-sisters in person.

I have never been to the one at the GF but we went to CRT this past August with my 3yo DD. She absolutely loved it. We got a great picture of her with Cindy who knelt down to hug my a little Cinderella fan as she ran towards her and we saw Belle (in her blue dress) she was terrific, Mary Poppins (who was great and very much in "character" telling my girls to stand up straight etc), Sleeping Beauty and the Fairy Godmother. The food at breakfast was very good we enjoyed it and they do a wishing ceremony. My girls got Wands and wishing stars and I know that they also gave all the boys something but I can't remember. My 3 yo was in heaven looking around the castle. She still talks about it to this day. We went our very first day for breakfast. A side benefit is that you can get into the Magic Kingdom before the park opens. So she also got to see the caslte for her very first time without the large crowds. It was priceless. My 11 year old loved it as well. We will definitely go back again the next time we go hopefully when my now (almost 4 yo) turns 5 next May.

Have a great time at either resturant. Seeing your 3 year old light up when she meets the princesses is priceless. It still brings a tear to my eyes when I think about it. princess:

We haven't gone yet, but we ended up scheduling Cinderella's Gala Feast for dinner our first night and Princess Storybook lunch at Akershus the next day. Since each of those only cost one TS credit and CRT costs two, it's a pretty good deal if you're on the dining plan. Still, there's that whole CASTLE perk to consider, which is why they're able to charge so much. To be honest, if a reservation for CRT was available, it would have been a tough call for us, but I think we'll be happy with what we have.

I just couldn't decide...so I booked both...hubby may kill me later for it, but I have wanted to eat in the castle since I was 3 and this is my littlest princess' 3rd b-day trip...very appropriate!
