Help! CRT breakfast or lunch? Or Askerhus?

We have done breakfast twice at CRT? Is lunch good. The price difference is nominal. Or should we try Askerhus? TIA.

We really enjoyed breakfast at Akershus. We got to see Belle, Aurora, Snow White, Jasmine and Ariel. Some people complain about the food, but we liked everything, and left full.

We just got back and I really prefered Akershus over CRT. It didn't feel as rushed and I liked the food better. You get the same interaction with the princesses at both places. So of the two I'd return to Akershus.

Very interesting...I think it would be a money saver too. I remember having to wait in lines for the bathroom and pictures at CRT.

After several years of having breakfast at CRT, we decided to try lunch. We were so happy that we did!!! The food was much better, the crowds more manageable, and you get to choose what you eat from a menu instead of them just bringing stuff to the table.

Now we only do lunch at CRT, I doubt we'll go back for breakfast after the last couple lunches we had there. They bring an appetizer for the table, then you choose your drinks, entree, and dessert from the menu. The Major Domo's pie was excellent. The portions were all very large (we checked out other entrees around us). I highly recommend it!!!

So many choices! Aargh. We have a reservation for breakfast. I will have to fiddle around to see if there is any availability for lunch. Maybe we should do both?

I have done CRT for breakfast and lunch and loved them both. I did lunch in Norway and would never do it again. The food was lousy. I have heard breakfast food is better.

INHO eating at the castle is just the experience of it all. If that is not important to you, go for breakfast at in Norway.

We've had breakfast at CRT and Akershus and lunch at CRT. We like the breakfasts, but thought lunch at CRT was not very good. We're sticking with the breakfasts. Another thing to remember is breakfast is as much as you care to eat while lunch is one plate.

We've done dinner at CRT, lunch at Akershus 2x, and lunch at CRT. Of all of those, we enjoyed lunch at CRT the most, lunch at Akershus second. The food at CRT we all really enjoyed, and the lunch felt nice & relaxed, not super crowded. I have heard breakfast is much more crazy there. The food at Akershus was fine, but we didn't feel the "relaxed" feeling either year -- but it was raining both times and this year we were right next to the door where the princesses came out & I think that they really hurry through the first few tables. We had a similar experience being the first ones at 1900 PF last year.

I've done CRT for bkfst and dinner at Akershus 2X's. The first time we ate at Akershus is was the BEST!!! I couldn't wait to go back. The next time it wasn't good at all! Bkfst at CRT was good, too.

I like lunch at CRT. I felt much more rushed at Akershus. Also, the tables are so close together that I practically had to sit on the lap of the lady at the table next to us to get everyone in frame for a picture. CRT was very roomy.

I think you'll like it there. If you do switch, ask around about the menu since I think there are some things that get better reviews than others.

I like getting a very early breakfast ressie at CRT on a non EMH day. THere's something so magical about a nearly empty main street, and priceless about a castle photo with just your kiddo in it.

That being said, we have done all of them over time. Usually we hit Akurshus for a late breakfast and it serves as brunch on an Epcot day, but this trip we're celebrating DD's birthday, and she picked CRT because she really loves eating in the castle. She just picks at her food, but loves the atmosphere, and looking out over the carousel, etc. Plus, she loves the wand ceremony and the wishing star.

If it has got to be CRT try breakfast. We had a blast for bt and loved the food but lunch was a bomb. Only saw two characters and the food was so-so. I never tried akerkush but I hear it is great.

that you have already made a decision to switch. We have done lunch three times at CRT and will probably be going again on our next trip. The menu hasn't changed that much since we have been going. Between my wife and I we have had the salmon, pork tenderloin and Major Domo's Favorite Pie. We have both settled on the Major Domo's. I leave the meal sated and ready for an afternoon nap.
