I'm DS's class's room parent and we have a Fall Activity Day (what we used to call a Halloween Party) in two weeks. Any ideas for easy, inexpensive games, activities and/or crafts would be greatly appreciated. It can't be related to Halloween, but should be fall related---think pumpkins (ok) vs. Jack-o-lanterns (not)....Scarecrows (ok)..withches and bats (not). It was so much easier planning this parties when they were younger!

The other problem is it can't take too long (15-20 minutes) and had to be ready to take home (dried, etc.) on the bus after school.:earseek:

You could do a lollipop tree but with the pumpkin lollipops.

Have them decorate their own pumpkin shaped cookies.

Put together canvas bags and have them write on them with colored fabric markers. They can then use these to go trick or treating.
*This may cost some, but if you have someone that has connections with a fabric store or is able to donate items and another parent is able to sew them together, it will work.

Last year at Remy's fall festival we made trees. The made a brown tree out of construction paper, then used the "fall" colored leaves (these were real) that the teacher brought (they glued the leaves on). Really cheap since the leaves were free LOL. It was really cute though because Remy used reds, oranges, and purple colored leaves with some green ones thrown in.
