Help! Convuluted question about multiple parties staying on one reservation/fastpass

I have a July trip booked for Ft Wilderness cabins for me, my husband, and my 2 children. Found out a bit ago that hubby cant make it for the first few days of the reservations because of work. A friend of mine who lives in florida is going to come stay with me and my kids for the first few days of our reservation until hubby comes down.

Trying to figure out:
1) do i just let the resort know when we arrive that they are there instead of my husband for the first few days (cabins sleep six so we are not over a limit).
2) they have purchased 2 day tickets seperately - if they are staying with me in the cabin can we get their tickets programmed to allow for extra magic hours?
3) what would we do about fastpass plus for them?

Sorry, really complicated and convuluted - appreciate any advice!!!

Are you staying on a dining package? Did you book through Disney or a third party?

no dining package and yes i booked through disney

I'd say to just add the friend to your reservation but...extra adult fee. If you don't add them, they don't get a band or FP+. You could tell them when you arrive that you will only have two adults in the room at a time.

I would advise to call ahead and eat the extra adult fee - or have your friend pay it. It'll be easier and less time consuming. Any other "swap" would require the front desk to assist, assuming they know how to resolve and avoid the fee.

Since the cabins sleep six, I'm not even sure there would be an extra adult fee...I'd call and ask, and then just add them to the reservation for the entire time.
