Hi,
Have the garden rooms had a rehab lately?
How far of a walk is it to the Monorail?
Is it worth it to stay in the garden rooms or "must I stay in the tower".

Are there privacy partitions on the balconies....or am I looking at my neigbor? At the pool area do they have tables with umbrella's.
Thanks:goodvibes

Here is the thread for contempoary experts:

All garden wing rooms are refurbbed.

I stayed in the room furthest from the monorail - it was an easy five to seven minute walk.

I can't answer number 3 as I have not stayed in the tower but I will say staying in the garden wing is better than not staying at the CR at all.

A few garden wing rooms have privacy partitions for the patios (ours did but it was a corner room), most don't. The upper level Garden wing rooms don't have balconies - the sliding door opens but there is a bar there. Tower rooms have balconies - see post #4 in the above thread.

Some tables at the pool area have umbrellas. See post 107 for pictures of the pool area.

Have fun!

The Tower rooms no matter which view you would want are great because it's a short ride in the elevator to 4th floor for all the stores, restaurants and getting to the Monorail station. The same can be said when wanting to go to the lobby. As for the Magic Kingdom view and Bay Lake view both are amazing, especially the Magic Kingdom view. In my opinion I think it's the best possible view in all of WDW. Of course the Tower rooms are going to be more expensive then the Garden Wing rooms, so that is something else you need to keep in mind. Plus the Magic Kingdom view is more expensive then the Bay Lake view. However there is nothing wrong with staying in a Garden Wing room and I agree with jcb that staying in one is better then not staying in any room at the Contemporary.

Besides the Contemporary FAQ thread here is a link to the Contemporary picture thread, so even more pictures for you to look at. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1747476

Also, you can easily walk to MK. I think walking to MK is easier from a garden room than from the tower. It just seems quicker to me.

We have stayed garden and have stayed tower. We prefer the garden as we think it is quieter.

If you are in tower, there are privacy partitions on the balcony.

The CR is wonderful!

Thanks everyone for the great info

Is there a big noise problem in the tower. Can you hear the monorail all night in your room?
Thanks
Kerri
