Just to clear up some confusion in our house - we are hoping to book Randy for 6 hours for our wedding day and two of those hours we will be eating where randy will of course be joining us!Now I see this as just good manners - okay so he wont be taking pics but hes using his time because we are planning more pics after our meal but my mum thinks that meals are not included in the photographers price i.e-if we break for 2 hours and he doesnt take photos then we either get an extra 2 hours or we just book less hours and spilt it around the meal! Now I dont think that sounds right at all does it?! Maybe its different here in England (I know my FSIL got a extra hour because of eating) but i dont think its the norm is it?!
I only ask because I dont want there to be any confusion on the day and I dont want to offend anyone by presuming either way so I hope some friendly Disbrides can help clear this up for me!

Are you absolutely sure that Randy will not be taking photo journalistic photos during the meal? If I know Randy, he will be shooting everything and you will have a complete record of your day (including the meal). He may even turn down your offer of a meal!!
I wouldn't worry either way - you will get your money's worth and more from Randy!! He will arrive early and leave late and take so many photos, you will not know which to pick for albums etc.
If you haven't booked him already, please do so as he gets booked up well in advance. When you e-mail him to make the arrangements, explain the situation to him. He will know what to do
I really wouldn't worry about how it will work - just know that it totally will!!!

I would think that the 2 hour meal time will be included in the amount of time you book the photographer for. IME photographers don't sit for a long time to eat, they generally grab a quick bite to eat and continue shooting.

Get in touch with Randy and discuss your options if he is available. I think it's lovely that you want to include him, but unless someone knows you, I'm not sure that someone who makes their living selling their services based on a time factor would find it the best use of their time to take "off" for 2 hours to eat! :lmao: I hope that doesn't sound rude the way i said it though!

It is customary I guess to offer a meal and including him in your regular menu probably will be greatly appreciated!! I'm sure he will be able to work out an amenable schedule with you and enjoy a meal as well!

It is typical to feed your photographer/videographer because he will be with you almost the entire day... whether it is Disney photography or an outside vendor like Randy. A vendor meal is typically what you would do, as vendors working your wedding will not eat on-stage with guests at any Disney Location. And yes, most vendors only take a few minutes to eat, and then they are back, ready for action.

Hope this helps!
