Hi! :wave2:
I have never been to Disney World, we are planning our first trip for next year probably the week after Thanksgiving sometime. DD will be 5 and DS will be 3. I was thinking ASMovies because it looks like a place they would love.
DH wants to do Animal Kingdom, which looks really nice, but will it be as interesting to a 5y.o and 3y.o?

Thanks in advance! I am soooooooo excited!
I have so many questions about booking this trip.

Editing to add, what about Pop Century?

There is a big price difference between the two. If you can afford the deluxe, I say go for that. Kids will be happy anywhere and the extras at a deluxe will be nice for you. I however would choose the WL over the AK. Both are about the same price and features but WL is much better location and much closer to the MK where you are likey to spend a lot of time.

Good luck,

WL is my favorite but with 2 young children a savannah view at AKL would be awesome.

My kids are the same age and we will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge this Feb. We chose it because it is over the top. When you walk in it takes your breathe away. I can't wait for my kids to see it and then realize that we will be staying there. They have bunk beds which will add to the excitement and balconys which will help my DH and I get some alone time when the kids are sleeping. A big plus is that there is a boat that take the guest into the Magic Kingdom and to Fort Wildreness. There is a gueyser there that goes off and waterfalls which my kids will love. I have done a lot of research and the WL is our choice. We stayed offsite last year and it took so long to get into the park and everytime we left I felt like I was losing the Disney magic. I do think that your kids would love the Animal Kingdom resort as well. The only downside to the Animal Kingdom Lodge is that is kinda far from the Magic Kingdom and Epcot I think that I will like the ease of transportation of the wilderness Lodge. Good luck! You will find a lot of different opinions on this board and I really don't think that you can go wrong on a Disney Resort.

My resort decision would depend on how much time you plan on spending at your resort. Since you're going after Thanksgiving, you probably won't be doing much swimming or using other amenities deluxe resorts have to offer. If you will be spending most of your time at the parks, I'd stay at a value resort. If you plan on using your resort as more than a place to sleep, then a moderate or deluxe may work better for you. As far as the kids go, they will be happy no matter where you choose to stay at WDW, especially since this will be their first trip and they won't know any different. I have stayed with DD4 at ASSp, CSR, and AKL. She loved them all. We'll be staying at Pop in December. I'm sure that will be great as well.

We have never stayed at either, but we did get hooked on family Disney vacations after our first trip. It never hurts to start out small and build up as you go, if you think this will become a frequent event. However, if you think you won't go back for several years, you should do the AKL and go all out! Either way, you can't miss....you'll be at DISNEY!!::MinnieMo
