Here's the situation:
I have a co-worker who is also a friend. He is male - I'm not. Neither of us are married. I am several years older than he is. On my bday, in April, he gave me a $50 gift certificate. I was floored - I really hadn't expected anything from him and especially not that much - he doesn't have a lot of extra cash! Anyway, his bday is in Sept and I am trying to figure out what to get him. Would it be appropriate to buy him a watch? I don't want to buy anything too personal. I know that he needs a new watch. What do you think?
